Need a unique 30th birthday party idea?!
Help I am the party planner of my group of friends and I love to plan parties, but my imagination is tapped out!!!! I am turning 30 in September and want to plan a unique and fun party!. The main part of it will be at a house and there will be about 20+ people!. We are all adults and very open minded!.

You could do some sort of movie-themed party, such as picking a director and having everyone dress as a character from one of said director's movies!. Quentin Tarantino is a great example!.
You could also do a 13 Going on 30 party and everyone would wear what was popular when they were 13, though this may be too decade-oriented for you!.
You could roll it back a decade and do a kegger toga party (with better beer than you would have actually drank in college)!.
Hmmm, there are so many themes depending on your interests!. You could do a masquerade ball where everyone dresses up and wears a fancy mask!. You could do a Gone with the Wind theme with hoop skirts for the women!. You could just do a simple themed costume party, making everyone dress as their favorite musician or as their favorite book, tv show or movie character (but pick one so people have to be creative, like making everyone dress as a movie character)!.

My friends and I were thinking of having throwing one big party for all of us for fun!. We are all the same age and this is a big year coming for all of us!. We've decided to rent a hall or hotel banquet and have an 80's party bash!. Everyone is to attend in their favorite 80's semi-formal attire!. Friends, family and even kids in our lives (at 30, most of us have families already)!. This would be easy b/c so much earlier fashion has been bouncing in and out in 2000's!. Although we're born in 1978 or 1979, we all basically grew up to love the 80's era!. Music, Clothes, TV, especially cartoons and then Movies were so awsome back then! We are thinking of hiring a DJ to play nothing BUT 80's (a few late 70's and early 90's)!. Since there is a group of us, we'd split the costs!.

I think the black tie theme is boring!. Yea, your sophisticated but you still want to have fun!. I will be 30 in December and I wouldnt mind having a 70's theme birthday party!.
