HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY to your son, do you think that when you have the party you have the room to fit 80 people, in at home are they mainly younger friends and some would be under age, so [ invite only] not just to drop in and check out the party, then you can get to many people that you don't know and that's how it gets out of control, do you have some one who can be like security and make sure it is safe for all there, if there is drinking only offer beer and wine no spirits and soft drinks juice or water they want it to byo keep it simple with food as they don't want lots, maybe pizza or finger food, if you think the hall would be a better idea and state time like 6!.30 pm till 12pm, as most hall have to be out by 12pm and cleaned up, what ever you do let the police know that you will be having a party and your neighbours, so that they can ether go out or be warned what is going on best of luckWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you have it at a hall, it's best to get insurance - public liability and product liability!.!.!.incase anything happens to any party go-ers or the property at the hall gets destoyed/damaged!. It might be hard to get insurance for it in the first place, even if you do the premium for this event will be quite high, but it's better than having to pay for people's medical bills out of your own pocket!.
just some fuel for your thought!.!.!.!.
I'd opt for a home party!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Rent a hall remember if you have it @ home things can get broken or stolen!. the price of hiring a hall would be cheaper than replacing a damaged TV or stereo and if you have to claim on your insurance your premiums will probably will go up!. Plus there is always the parking problem and upsetting the neighbours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
definitely in a hall, its more work for you getting the stuff to the hall and then removal but make sure there is enough fridge space for drinks and food!.
also check if you have to clean up afterwards or if it is included in hiring cost!.
It will certainly save your house from being trashed and you will have piece of mind that things dont get broken or go missing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well have it where he wants it i guess!. i mean at the house would get messy and at a hall your house is likely not to get trashed but just depends what your willing to do i guess!. either way though, hes still going to have fun so maybe he might compramise on having it at the hall!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
80 is a lot of people to entertain at home!.I would not consider it!. Do you have adequate parking!? That is an issue for us so that is why I ask!. I can't imagine serving food for that many,I would rent a hall!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
