Answers:
Well the best bet to please and feed a lot of people is always Italian. Might I suggest some lasagna, tossed salad, and garlic bread? It is relatively easy to do and you can get a load of recipes from www.allrecipes.com. Good Luck!

Spagetti with a nice salad and garlic bread. You can't go wrong with spagetti. And there are so many good premade sauces available. Paul Newman has a line of several spagetti sauces that are unique and delicious. And some of the proceeds of all Newman's products go to charity.

Mostly just enjoy the time together.

Caprese - Mozzarella and tomatoes salad
Serves 4

2 mozzarella cheese, sliced
2 ripe but firm tomatoes, sliced
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Arrange the slices of mozzarella and tomato, alternating them, on a dish. Dress with salt and oil. If you like, you can use pepper too.
With a little fantasy you can modify this recipe; you can arrange mozzarella and tomato on fresh green salad, after dressing it; you can add green or black olives, stoned, or fresh or dried chives and so on

Veal in Tuna Sauce/ Vitello Tonnato

2 lbs. butt tenderloin
3 cups white wine
1 celery stalk
1 carrot
1 small onion
2 cloves
7 oz. tuna in oil
6 anchovy fillets
2 egg yolks, hard-boiled
2 lemons, 1 squeezed, 1 thinly sliced
2 cup oil
2 tbs. capers
1 tbs. white vinegar

Let the meat marinate in the wine, celery, carrot, chopped onion and cloves for one day. Remove the meat from the marinade, wrap and tie tightly in a cheesecloth and place in an oval pan just large enough to hold it together. Put back in the marinade and cook slowly for about one hour. Remove from heat and let the meat cool in its cooking juice.
De-grease and filter the cooking liquid. Blend the liquid in a food mill with the tuna, anchovies, 1 tbs. capers and egg yolks. Dilute the sauce with lemon juice, and vinegar, and whisk in the oil in a steady stream till you get a velvety sauce similar to mayonnaise. Slice the veal and arrange in a serving platter in the following manner: Spread a few tablespoons of the sauce on the platter. Add the veal a layer at a time, with sauce covering each layer. Sprinkle capers over and decorate the rim of the platter with the sliced lemon. Serve.

I second the Italian idea. You can make your life even easier by buying a premade family size lasanga (like from Stouffers) to cook. If you want you can do the same with the garlic bread. It just depends on how much you want to make yourself.
