What is a good (and easy) traditional Jewish dessert that I can bring to a potluck.?!
Answers:
Fruit compote is traditional, really easy, and delicious!.
Start with dried fruit!. Traditionally that would be prunes and apricots!. Some people add dried sour cherries and/or apples, too!. Some people also add a little sugar and/or cinnamon and cloves, but I really like the pure fruit taste!. Put it all in a saucepan and add enough water to cover it!. Bring it to a boil, turn off the heat and cover with lid!. Just let it sit for an hour or so!. The water will get a little syrupy and the fruit will become plump and flavorful!. You can stir in a little brandy if you want!. Serve it warm or chilled!.
