Question:

Any ideas for make your own bridal shower favors?

Answers:
How much do you want to spend on each of them?

My favorite idea works for a kitchen shower. Take a small whisk and insert a Godiva chocolate into the middle and tie the handle with a bow.

Or I had a "environmentally friendly" shower for my sister. For favors we donated several hives of bees to poor people in developing countries through heifer.org. At the actual shower everyone got a set of homemade bees' wax candles with a scroll explaining the donation part of the gift. Candle supplies (wicks and sheets of wax) were purchased off of GloryBee.com

Hope this helps. Let us know what you decide on!

Condom Lollypops!

get yourself some cute little gift box container and insert nice individually wrapped chocolates in them (enough for however many people per table) unless you can afford one box per guest.....either way.....then use some cute ribbon to tie them with and maybe a cute little "note card" saying thank you with Bride and Groom's names on them. (maybe this is more for a reception than bridal shower)

Give each attendee a framed photo of herself with the bride.

Purchase several 4x6 frames (you could even get them at a dollar store) and during the party snap photos of each guest with the bride (we posed the photos with the bride holding her gift bow bouquet) on a digital camera. Pull one of the husbands out of the basement or the garage (or whoever has been designated for the task) and print out the photos. Slide them into the frames and set them up on a table so that the guests can see each others photos and find their own to take home.

Small gift baskets with candles, lotions, body wash, etc. are also a hit. You can make each one different, wrap them and use them in one of those gift swapping games as well. Often it is best to do multiple themes, so that everyone can get something they like and use.

A kitchen themed basket may be a plastic strainer with a set of candles, a pot holder and a set of wooden spoons.

Summer fun with a set of inexpensive flip flops and tanning oil wrapped in a $3 beach towel.

Religiously themed angel baskets with figurines, a prayer book, or even a cross stitch pattern are often popular for older guests.

Bachelorette partys - go with fun and slightly dirty gifts (though I wouldn't go too far if Great Aunt Gretchen is likely to be in attendance) - flavored or scented massage oils, those little hard plastic or wooden back massagers, candles, bath oils. The bride could create her own "signature scent" and give away small bottles of her own fragrance at her shower - this is a very popular new trend. One place that does this : http://www.signaturescent.net/page/page/...

Small pieces of matching jewelry are also a great way to commemorate the event. Pretty little pendants or pins for each guest that are exactly alike or very close to the same. Give these to the guests as they arrive - that way you can wear them together.

i gave all the lady a box of candy with different gift cards on them.....

I'm surprised you are making your own favors. This is the responsibility of the person giving you the shower. You should not do anything , but show up.
