Party ideas for summer-13-15 year olds?

im going to have a summer party, kinda tropical-hawaiian themed, and i have a pool and a trampoline but i kinda want to have more than just an ordinary pool party with just swimming. any ideas? it could be for boys and girls or just girls ages 13-15

The important thing is to go over the top and make it almost tacky. Create a luau.

1. Games, games, games! Since you have a pool perhaps a type of marco polo searching for leis. For the trampoline a type of freeze game where whoever can stop jumping the quickest when Hawaiian music stop wins. Since a limited amount of people can be in the trampoline at once, you may be able to make this a team event.
2. Make sure all the afternoon food is really light - no pukers in the pool! Tropical fruit and yogurt dip, frozen fruit bars, veggies and dip, etc. Oh, and for teenagers - chips!
3. If you can start late enough begin dinner as dusk is approaching. Get some tiki torches. Depending on your budget a luau dancer. Of course traditional Hawaiian music.
4. For dinner spin a traditional luau menu. Truth be told most kids this age won't eat traditional luau fare. And you could probably get most of it from restaurants.
a. Those red pork ribs. You could probably get these from a chinese restaurant, but would be better made at home.
b. Chicken and pineapple kebabs
c. Fried rice
d. Conocut bread
e. Salad
f. Grilled fish or seafood
g. Mock Mai Tais
h. White Chocolate Mousse Poi dyed with food color (This doubles as another game and dessert. Tell all the kids what poi is and dare them to eat it.)

You could make, although it is a lot easier to buy, a volcano cake and put dried ice in the middle. For invitations write out the party information on cheap flip flops. I have been to a luau before and most of the things people eat are desserts, so for a favor you could make small cakes.

Me and my friends are all going to different high schools next year so we are making TONS of plans this summer. I figured I'd throw a beach party! woot woot! we (16 people, ages 13-15) will meet at my house at around 11 and head to the nearest beach (about 45 minutes away). transportation will be provided by me and one of my friend's parents. Once there, we'll all put on sunscreen and have a bathroom break (no one likes to go in the ocean, right?). then we'll go find a spot on the sand and set up our par-tay area- a massive expance of towels shaded by umbrellas, with a few tables for food and all that jazz. we'll also set up da volley ball court for later. After setting up our rendevous we'll eat lunch- chips, soda and fruit juice, (gotta have da fruit juice), and burgers... er, and veggie burgers for me and my fellow veg-heads. After lunch we'll talk for a litte bit while our food digests then go play beach soccer! it's uber fun! no shoes aloud! the field is the volley ball court only without the net... don't wanna lose any heads! the teams will most likely be girls vs. boys (the guys think they're so tough). after that we will all go have sum free time to go surfing, swimming, playing in the sand, etc.. after a couple hours of doing wut ever we want, we'll put up the net and play volley ball! we'll draw names from a hat as to not hurt any one's feelings. after getting tired of that, we'll have a sand castle contest. 4 teams of 4, this time forming your own groups. the parents will judge the castles and to remove any bias we won't tell them who built what. then there will be free time till about 5, when we will eat dinner- snack food, drinks, and pizza! i've never met anyone who duzn't like a good old fassion pizza. we'll get 2-3 half and half pizzas, that way everyone will get something they like. once we finish our food we'll take a walk on the beach. after our walk, we'll do sum dancing. i am in the process of making a c.d. of all of our favorite songs. if you decide to make your own party mix, make sure you have songs that don't have anything bad in them- be courtious of those around you! after dancing till we fall over, we'll sit on the beach watching the sunset. we'll have blankets to snuggle up with. after the sun has gone down we'll have smores and sing campfire songs. to get all of our energy out before the long ride home we'll all take a walk on the beach. then around 8 or so we'll hop into the cars and head for home. my friends can call their parents to tell them to pick them up when we're about 15 minutes from my house, since there is no absolute time we will be home. at my house i'll hand out party bags and talk untill their parents arrive. needless to say, i think this par-tay is gonna rawk out loud!

lol Get a keg

some good ideas are to play volleyball in the pool. it gets you some good exercise and its fun to dive into the water to get the ball. you should also have like a bunch of chairs for kids to sit down on and socialize. on the trampoline you should just decorate it and be like fun but safe. also have lots of food and drinks bc in the summer people want a lot to drink

rent a water slide after public hours
