What will be nicer for a 1st birthday party? Care bears or Winnie the pooh?

I would go with WInnie the Pooh, that way if you have little boys coming they will enjoy it too. I think all kids are more familiar with Winnie the pooh also.
Winnie the Pooh in my opinon. Care Bears seem for the girls ages 4-10. Disney is always timeless and traditional. :)

while on the other hand winnie is for both girls and boys..
or another thought maybe a princess party! or barbie party!

Winnie the pooh is always the best way to go......though my little pony is more gurly and very colorful for the little ones.....I love My litttle pony
Either one, but just realize your daughter won't care, won't remember. She'd be just as happy with a box to play in.

Its your kids first birthday, and if you realy want to see a dumb look, wait till she gets to be 15 and ask her what kinda birthday cake she had at her first birthday party. She won't remember, so don't bent about what kind of cake it is, lets admit it, its more for you than the kid LOL

I personally would go with Winnie the Pooh, you're never too young or too old for it, I'm a good example I'm 23 and I still go on the Winnie the Pooh ride at Disney World. I personally loved the Care Bears when I was maybe 4/5 until I was maybe 8, so I just think Winnie the Pooh has a more timeless/ageless appeal, also I think you maybe need to be a bit older than 1 for Care Bears, but Winnie the Pooh is so lovable and wholesome anyone can enjoy it. Will she really remember any of it? As long as there is cake for her to wear, she'll be thrilled. (They LOVE being covered in frosting. My oldest rubbed on her face like lotion.)
My guess would be whichever one looks best smeared.

Edit: In this day an age of digital cameras/ camcorders the size of a key chin she'll have wonderful pictures and/ or videos to look back on years from now. That will be one of the best gifts she gets this year.

I'm 33, and I still have fond memories of both Winnie the Pooh and the Care Bears.
Frankly, your daughter won't have a clue what's going on, so go with whatever you like better. I'd go with the care bears, just because they are more colorful.

I'm not one to force "Brands" on kids. So I'd do something pink like pink bears or frogs or rainbows or just animals in general. THey have a lot of 1st birthday things that are so cute. My daughter turns 1 in may so we are planning too.

care bears are much girlier....i am so done with winnie the pooh! but also remeber she will not remeber or even care what the theme is.
