What should I do for my 17th birthday???
My Sweet 16 was AMAZING! People still talk about so now I need to do something that will top that! I had it outside and had everyone dress formally in either black or white (I, of course wore red) and we had all the decorations black and white with white christmas lights. It was really nice and sophisticated. I like the whole sophisticated thing so I want something similar to that. Anybody have any ideas?

A Roaring 20's Party.. they were so cool back in the days of the gangsters and their gals... Could couple it with a Casino Theme and have a blackjack tables and roulette and such.. gives them something to do plus having fun... keep the music going too

Get a band from your school/town that is popular and have them play
Have a theme again- tiki party is a really good one that I LOVE. That way you can show yourself off in a bikini and "lay" people ;)

Depending on how liberal your parents are I suggest having a pajama party at a hotel suite with just a few select friends, maybe 10. Make it exclusive. There are some other key things that will make this party over the top.
1. Make sure the hotel is really nice. Perhaps in the largest city that is about an hour away. This way is doubles as a type of road trip.
2. Make sure that your suite has a hot tub and the hotel has a pool.
3. Make gift bags that include silky pj's. Stuff for manicure and pedicures (lotions, gloves, polish, etc) or depending on your budget gift certificates for the hotel's salon. And a nice plush towel. This is a really great place to monogram your birthday information as a favor.
4. Make arrangements with your hotel prior for food. Where do you want dinner? Sometimes it's really fun to go to a really nice restaurant and have burgers! Order room service in advance to deliver something you really like on silver trays. Perhaps your birthday cake?
5. Make your invitations monogramed eye masks with party info on them or attached to them.
6. Oh, and lots of mocktails!
7. You can also plan room service for breakfast or a breakfast in the hotel's dining room. Just make sure that it is planned.
8. Make sure everything is paid for in advance!

u are sweet sixteen nice age. so u should do really good party if u wanna do something really good then give friends a pj (pajama party) in night ar a sleepover night that will be really fantastic for your bday and u also enjoy giving it order some pizzas and do fun all the night with loud music dancing with your friends talk all the night and express your views with your friends.
Do sort of the same thing. but in a different color. hire a dj.
