bachlorette parties can go either way- tasteful or tacky- and each can be a great time!
if you'd like to do something outside the home you could always look into some type of boat tour or renting a pontoon boat on a lake or river for some relaxing fun, maybe a dinner cruise or cocktail cruise (we have them here in Milwaukee) or maybe a trip to a local comedy club for some laughs or a nice bar on top of a building downtown maybe for a few drinks!.
if staying in you could always have a spa night where everyone does nails (or you can hire someone to come do nails or chair massages), facials, makeup tips, parfin wax baths, foot baths- anything spa related!. you could get a cheap pair of flip flops for each guest as a party favor and maybe some lip gloss or nail polish or something in a little goodie bag!. have light foods like finger sandwiches, smoothies or margaritas, veggie trays and fruit salad!.
how about hiring a hula dancer or belly dancer to give lessons at the house or little more risque- a pole dancing lesson from an instructor!
you could hire a tarot card reader to give fortunes or palm readings
for my one friend we just went out to eat (located in a mall) then we went window shopping then stopped at another place for dessert (cheesecake factory yum!) then headed to a local bar by her house for a few drinks- it was a nice casual night out!. we started off at her house for drinks (martinis) and she opened gifts!.
one nice game/decoration is the tree of wisdom!. get some large branches and stick them into a vase so it looks like a little tree!. then you cut out hearts from colored paper and hang them from the tree (I used small pieces of pipe cleaner to make a little hook) then each guest will write down words of wisdom for the bride to be (either naughty or nice words of advice!)!. it looks rally pretty as a centerpiece on a table and you can send the hearts home with the bride as a memento of her party!. you can also buy a martini or wine glass for each guest from the dollar store and decorate them with a paint pen in the wedding colors and use those as party favors for them also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
