I've only been to one "Key" party in my life. This is what happens: The host invites equal numbers of single guys and
girls to a party with fun and games (no alcohol or drugs), and
everybody mingles freely--getting to know everybody else.
As each guy arrives at the party, he drops his car keys into a
large bowl (..this is the "key" part of the party..). After the party comes to an end about four hours later, the ladies each
take one set of keys out of the bowl, and the owner of those
keys is the guy who takes the girl home (or, wherever they
choose to go after leaving the party). Then, everybody gets
together in two days to discuss how successful they were.

It's a party for swingers, you exchange keys and swap mates. Woowooo... I am wild but not that wild! LOL.
It's a party for single people. Which begins with everyone
receiving a lock and a key. Now get out there and mingle, and see who holds the key to your lock, and/or which lock goes with your key.
The idea is to HELP break the ice.
