My daughter turns 15 in a couple of weeks. I'm looking for ideas....?!

Question:

My daughter turns 15 in a couple of weeks. I'm looking for ideas....?

I plan to take her and a friend shopping, then surprise her with an overnight stay at a nice hotel. I just don't know what to do once we get to the hotel, other than watch a movie or something. Any ideas???

Answers:
Buy some spa supplies like... cheap face masks, toe nail polish, cucumber slices and some cute cheap trendy makeup. Have lots of different snacks. Lots of girlie movies to choose from. A stereo and her favorite cds.

if the hotel has a pool, hot tub, and gym, your problem is solved. My 12 year old daughter loves to stay at a hotel with a pool. Happy birthday to your daughter, and have a great trip. I think mother daughter bonding time is awesome

Well... you could try the whole room service thing... or just let her figure it out. She's your daughter, I'm sure she has some ideas of her own.

Have 15 ballooons floating around and a vase of 15 different types of flowers. And scattered here and there... 15 birthday cards. An overnight hotel stay.....What a wonderful idea.... you might let her get her nails done at the hotel, or go to the spa. What a beautiful memory you are creating for her.... and you !!!

Pool
game room
boutique

I would recommend watching a girly TV series on DVD rather than a move- this way, you only need to watch 30min-1 hour at a time and if you want, you can watch up to 4 hours on 1 dvd- this will let you be a bit more flexable. Desperate House Wives and Sex And The City are two good girly series. It's also something I bet she hasn't done before where renting a movie is something normal to her.
Buy some special snacks and sparkling cider. You could even buy some Red Bull energy drinks and make cocktails but use the energy drinks to substitute for the alcohol.
Going to the pool and gym at the hotel are really the only other things to do. It's hard because the most fun situations to be in while you are staying at a local hotel is with a boyfriend or husband OR you are there without your parents and you get to screw around.

If you can afford it, I would think of a fun activity for after dinner and then go to the hotel. Your daughter would be the best person to get ideas from for a fun activity. Ask her what she would recommend for a fun activity for your friend's daughter who is turning 13 next month.

go to hotel with pool that is all you need to do after shopping the pool everyone will be asleep in no time lol get munchies for a movie after it all ,but thats enough dont worry it will be ok

I think she'll love the pool. Most nice hotels have good resturants these days. ALSO make an appointment at the hotel spa for both of you together.

maybe it's corny but, do mani-pedis, listen to some music talk about what you did when turned 15, i don't know what type of relationship you have with your daughter but, maybe this will bring you closer.

see if the hotel has a swimming or ask her what kind of games she would like to play
