"Coddling" is a gentle cooking technique employed only, as far as I know, to cook eggs!.!.!.it's rather like poaching them but without anything to contain the eggs!.

Coddled eggs are very lightly cooked so that the white is still runny!. Effectively, the eggs have boing water poured over them and then allowed to sit for a few minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
