Quantity of fruit used with a chocolate fountain?
How many pieces of fruit should I plan on with a chocolate fountain to be used during a cocktail hour that will have other appetizers? Also, I plan on having the fountain running most of the evening (no other appetizers would be available after cocktail hour) and will bring out cookies later for desert along with a cake.

a good rule would be a cup of fruit per person
About 6 to 8 pcs. per person.
Fruit is expensive we fill in the gaps with other dip-ables like
Marshmellows - wafer cookies -and mini frozen cream puffs-
rice krispy balls.(tiny ones) have fun
If no other food is present I would suggest something more like 20 pieces per guest.
