I'd love to have a attention catching invitation, something cute that plays on the fact that its an apartment warming party, rather than a house warming. Anyone have ideas?

Creat an invitation on your computer using cool fonts. You can use a font called Wing Ding or Web Ding to find line art of buidlings that look like apartment buidlings and change the color with the format font command.
The Outside of the invite could say something like this:
Spill the wine
Walls can take dents
No caution this time
I only rent
And then the inside can have all the necessary information:
Come to my apartment warming party!
