Answers:
pizza would probably be your best option!. you can either buy it or make your own!.

i dont know how many kids are going to be there, but i advise 2 cheese pizza, 1 meat pizza with pepperoni or sausage, 1 veggie pizza with mushrooms or peppers and one red pizza, no cheese!.

that way you are prepared for any kids that come who are vegetarian or have food allergies or cant eat dairy!.

you could also do lots of snacks!. dips are really easy to make or you can buy them to go along with regular potato chips or tortilla chips and pretzels

onion dip, guacamole, salsa, hummus!.

shrimp cocktail is always fun!. you could make a cheeseball and crackers!. a veggie platter is also a good idea!. kids actually like veggies if you give them a nice dip!. try a ranch dip for veggies!.

you could do mini potato bites with different topings so kids could use whatever they wanted!.!.!.

cake and ice cream is a great idea, but also remember to have a fruit salad for kids who might not be able to eat it!. you could make a fruit dip and fruit kabobs!.

hope it goes well!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yeah but sounds like a 10yr olds party!. How about burgers and kebabs on the barby, mexican food like nachos, tacos, dips and corn chips, marinated chicken wings, lasange, big yummy pizzas (from a gormet pizza place) and garlic bread, a damper with garlic butter, and don't forget the rest!.!.!.popcorn, and for dessert try this; fruit kebabs, thread fruit (strawberries, rock melon , kiwi fruit, pineapple, ) on to wooden skewers and make a dip; 1 cup sour cream, 1 cup thickened cream, 2 tblspn honey and 1-2 tblspn chopped mint!. For drinks make a couple non alchohlic punches, 'Pineapple Soda' 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar, 2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice, 1 cup lemon juice, 2 cups soda water, thin orange slices, sprigs of mint and/or Lime & Lemonade, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1/4 fresh lime juice, 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice, 3 cups soda water, lemon slices to garnish (and some little umbrellas would be a nice touch)!.(drinks serve 6-8)!. All dead easy to make and would put a special touch on the birthday!. Your child will have fun helping out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on the 16 year old!. Are they boys!? Then what you said sounds good!. Try to get something you can warm up in the oven all at the same time!.

Mini-pizzas!.
Mini-spring rolls!.
Chicken wings/drummettes
Mini-quiche (yeah, but it tastes GREAT!)
Bite-size burritos

Then, have a BIG bowl of fruit, and some sweets like chocolate chip cookies, or brownies!.

also, crackers, topped with cheese and lunch meats!.

Or make-your-own subway sandwiches (plan on two big sandwiches per kid)!.

And don't forget lots of drinks -- sodas, or some sort of punch (but not too sweet)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

lasagna or cold pasta salad with chunks of cheese, ham, salami, bell peppers, green onions, olives, capers and either mayonaise with a little mustard, salt, pepper or italian dressing-bottled
