Question:

We are planning a luau party for three teenagers for the end of school.?

would like ideas of where to locate items and decorations to support our them. websites would be appreciated.

Answers:
at many luau's girls wear skirts made out of tea leaves and a swim suit top
but since there arent tea leaves outside of hawaii, or atleast i dont think there are, banana leaves would work just as good because they look pretty much the same
wearing them really looks hawaiian style and its really easy to make.. just string it together with a needle. it doesnt take much time
I've gone to many luau's wearing this. Hula dancers often wear skirts like these too

living in hawaii for 16 years

we just had a luau party for work and got most of our decorations through iParty.com have fun!

orientaltrading.com has lots of Hawai'i stuff. [I live ion Maui, so if you have any questions on stuff, just ask me!!]

here-flip flops are slippers
and slippers are bedroom slippers, which no one ever wears.

Did you know that it's not pronounce Ha-why, it is pronounced Huh-vai-ee , the W in the Hawai'ian language is sounded out, usually as a v sound.

A luau? Great! You totally need fake flowers, streamers, balloons (if you like balloons)
For food you can buy cakes (or make 'em), spaghetti. Or even those hawaiian food there. You can even try salads

My highschool graduation party had a luau theme. My friend's mother bought the graduates straw hats (the girls had a lei on their hat) and coconut bras (the boys really got a kick out of wearing those.) At the party, we had:
-Chips and salsa/dips
-Big decorated cookies (c/o 2006)
-Burgers and hotdogs

For entertainment:
-karyoke
-swiming
-movies

Decorations:
-Inflateable palm trees floating in the pool
-Streamers hanging around the pool
-Guys wearing grass skirts
-People wearing hawaiian shirts

We had a lot of fun. Just make sure that there aren't many children at the party. We ended up babysitting for all of the parents (what a way to celebrate graduation.)

I'm pretty sure my friend's mom picked up most of the supplies at a local party shop and Party City.
