Nice big salads are always a good one. you could make hot and cold ones. My mum normally makes a big curry and rice that way people can help themselves.

also try aspargus wrapped in pruscutto, mini meatballs with tooth picks, pigs in ablanket, a veggie plater, cheese and crackers with sliced pepperoni, sometimes i just order a hero tray! good luck!

What about pizza?
Just bung in the oven, slice it and serve.
Serve with salad, potato salad and coleslaw

Quiche and Pizza - both can be eaten hold or cold

hows about pasta shapes mixed with a tad of mayo and seafood dressing, you could add tuna, salmon, prawns

you could try the same with meats such as chicken ham and even grated cheese but don,t use the sea food dressing lol
hope these ideas are any good to you

Pasta and pasta salads. Dont forget potatoe salad.
Jellos or jello shooters. Chips and dips. Stir frys. Veggie and fruit plate, dont forget the meat plate, cheese and crackers too. Side of ham, beef, turkey or chicken if you want to go fancy. Dont forget a cold salad, that is the easiest. Open the bag and dump it in the bowl. Hope this helps. Can i come. I need lots of notice, I live in Alberta Canada! Good luck!

I agree with the salads, tortilla chips, hot wings and pizza. Of course, other things, like quiche, cheese puffs (or Wotsits), Pringles, mini scotch eggs and queen olives *dr00ls*, also go down a treat. Don't forget the drink and dips!

sponge cakes (sliced)... either make yourself, or a LYONS ready made one (e.g. Victoria sandwich with jam + buttercream filling).

Is this stuff you want to make from scratch or buy? How about a lovely selection of cheeses, pates and various breads... You could do nibbles of crisps, nuts and dried/mixed fruit and nuts. You could do crudities with various dips... Salads - various green, rice, pasta and cold meats... A seafood platter. Or you could go hot - mini Cornish pasties, chips, an Indian selection with onion bhajis, samosas etc... Or even do a large pan of chili and a large pan of rice... Depends on how much you want to spend and if you want to do hot or cold. Remember to do something bland for people who aren't too adventurous and remember to ask for help if you need it. Good luck and enjoy!

cut lots of raw vegetables and buy some nice dips. quiche is nice too.

bowls of olives
humous etc. served with slices of pitta bread
roasted peppers stuffed with feta
stuffed artichokes
marinated feta

I got all the above from a cash and carry and all that I had to do was open the packets and arrange in bowls/on plates. Also put cooked meats, cheese etc. out on a platter and serve next to a basket of bread rolls then you don't have to make the sandwiches yourself.

Or you could serve cream teas, ie a pile of scones (fruit and plain) cream and jam and let people help themselves. Never seen anyone turn this down.
