What is the best idea you have ever had for a party? Not a theme, but a drink, activity, gift, invitation? For example, I saw this (http://www.carolyneroehm.com/presentatio... ) yesterday on Martha Stewart and got inspired!
Please share your best tip/idea for everyone!!!

Have an horsdevours party. Make it (I know you don't want a theme) horsdevours from a certain country, and everyone bring a NEW horsdevours that they have never done. You can create great invites by copying and pasteing pictures, quotes, etc. off the internet. You could get into this with clothing too. Have everyone bring a bottle of something or a drink from a certain country kindof like a wine tasteing. Something they haven't tried, and you supply the food.
I have been wanting to host a gourmet dinner party, I would make my own invites black and sliver. I would have a gourmet menu including mixed drinks, and would play some Texas Hold Em, or Scene It. and give little door prizes out and make them a gift basket filled with bread, cheese, crakers and an inexpensive bottle of wine grapes and strawberries.
One of my best parties ever was a gin & tonic party in the summer. I purposefully served pistachios in red shells and the condensation from the glasses and the dye from the pistachio shells turned everyones fingers red!
