Are there ever strippers at hospital parties for patients?!

Question:

Are there ever strippers at hospital parties for patients?

This may sound like a totally odd-ball question, but considering some of the odd-ball people in my family, I just wanted to avoid a possibly embarassing situation. A relative of mine (who is 89 years old) is recovering from a surgery, and is in the hospital. The surgery was about two weeks ago. A surprise party for this person will be held in a 'special room' in the hospital tomorrow. Is there some remote chance that someone could hire a stripper for this party? Would it even be allowed? If so, I will be totally embarassed, since I'll be stuck there in that room from 1pm until about 3:30 pm. Serious responses only.

This will be my last time asking (sorry Yahoo). It just takes a few times before you can get enough serious answers.

I would think it would be against policy--they'd be liable if someone had a heart attack & died or something.

Someone needs to check the hospital rules on this one.

Call the hospital and ask if it would even be allowed first of all. You don't have to tell them who you are. You can then take whatever info you get from the hospital and pass it on to your family members that want the stripper at the party.
If by some small chance that it is allowed (doubtful) then you should let them have fun with it. If you are embarrassed then don't go, but dont ruin the party for everyone else.

yep

I do not think so bc there may be small children at the hospital

This is such an odd circumstance, I'm sure the hospital doesn't even have a "no stripper" policy. However, I'm sure they will adopt one after your family leaves the hospital. I would pretty much go with 'no' on this one, since you are on private property. I would also trust that no stripper woud agree to it anyway.

If you sneak one in, and she doesn't make a bunch of noise to draw attention to the room. But you'd better check with the nurse on duty or she may boot you out.
A stripper showed up at 2 am at a hospital I was at. She came in dressed as a nursing assistant. No one else saw her but the person that she embarrassed. (My charge nurse, it was his birthday.)

A stripper for a 89 year old who is recovering from surgery, not a good idea he may never leave the hospital. Give it some time and wait till he goes home. =)
A Hospital is private property, you need to speak with HR.
