Answers:
Friends was an extremely popular television comedy that has been the theme for many parties! Here are some ideas:

1. Have your guests pick their favorite character and dress accordingly. Their script for the evening will be to emulate the character they dress like!
2. You get to be Monica, the caterer and restaurant whiz!
3. Get the Friends cd, or soundtract, for the music and have the Friends programs on a screen in your living room or party area
4. Food should include some of Monica's signature dishes. I think that her jam was one of them, her turkey was another, and one year her chocolates were to die for. Here are some suggested food items:

1. Ham for slicing and sandwiches
2. Quiches: lorraine, green chili and artichoke heart, mushroom and caramelized onion
3. Cheese and fruit platter
4. Vege platter with ranch dip
5. Hot Artichoke Dip with blue corn tortilla chips
6. Chili and Cheese Dip with Tortilla chips
7. Hot wings
8. Smokies in crescent rolls
9. mini meatballs in bbq sauce with sour dough rolls
10. Cookies, cupcakes, brownies

And lots of beer and wine to enjoy!

1. You could ask everyone to dress up as someone from Friends, and don't limit it to the main characters.. It could be Janice, or Gunther or even Ugly Naked Guy (but maybe just flesh-coloured clothing..?). Or maybe even Monica when she was working in that fifties diner (big fake boobs and blonde wig), or when she was really obese. Maybe prizes for Most Recognized Character?

2. You could have a little trivia quiz, maybe even split people up into teams.

3. You could have a food item "from" each character: Monica would be something gourmet, Joey makes great pasta, Ross would bring something nice but store-bought, Chandler would too, and Rachel could be anything? Or offer food that they've shown on the show, like giant Toblerone bars (Joey was obsessed with them when Ross and Emily bought them from the airport) or even Cap'n Crunch, which Monica+Rachel and Joey + Chandler are seen to be eating or have in their fridge in some episodes.

4. Give games with a Friends twist. For example the drinking game, "Never Ever", where everyone has a beer and one person says something they've never done before, "Never ever have I worn knee high socks" and everyone who has drinks. So to give it a Friends twist, you could name it "Never Ever... We were on a Break!" and make people tell stuff they would never ever do unless they were on vacation, or just something out of the norm (most outrageous wins a prize?).
Other gags from friends u could use: No one knows Chandler's job (everyone should tell a wierd piece of trivia about themselves and the most shocking one wins, but nobody else at the party must know it), etc, or give a prize for the most enviable hairdo (a la Jen Aniston).

5. Decorate the place with little touches from the show! Like hanging an Etch-A-Sketch on the door, putting an EZ Boy in the living room, maybe a monkey stuffed doll somewhere (like Marcel, Ross' monkey), and a holder with spatulas and other cooking utensils.

There are lots of stuff you could do, I hope this gets the ball rolling!
