Someone suggested Netto Supermarket, is this in Britain?!

Question:

Someone suggested Netto Supermarket, is this in Britain?

Answers:
I'm also down south and we have netto here too. It tends to be the cheap supermarket whereas Tesco, sainsbury and Morrisons are middle range. waitrose and M & S tend to be the higer end of the range.

I find netto food is of quite a low standard compared to the mid-range supermarkets

Yep - mainly up North me thinks

Yeah it is its a bit like lidl or aldi same idea cheap stuff

Yes, its Scandanavian for Value and home of the 1p beans.

Yes there are loads of them all over the uk.

yeah it has a brigh yellow and black sign, its a cheap supermarket but it does sell brands however the carriet bags are more expensive than the beans!

Yes is cheapo and rubbish if you come here be sure to shop at waitrose.

Yes, i live in the West Midlands, and there are quite a few around here.
Much better than lidl and Aldi, as they sell some branded food etc, items.

It is indeed. They deffo have them in the northwest.

Chris O - where i am from we say 'scandinavian for value, Scouse for Meff!! ' ha ha

sorry- used to make us laugh when we were younger. actually still does....

Pretty certain they are but don't have any addresses. They have quite a lot of stores round the country,Have had a look Go to google search, key in netto, brings up a home page which in turn lists all stores in UK.

yeah, its a cheap place in britain. I did see one in France though a couple of years ago.

yes, cheap cheap supermarket

Yeh there is one in Blackburn lancashire!

Netto is simular to our Aldies or Super Value stores. They are found all over the UK and known to have some good produce for the price..

You will probably want to get about half of your grocery list filled there and the other half filled in a more upscale grocery.

SEW = Check It Out

All of the supermarkets on the canary islands are Netto or Spar - Netto over there are expensive!!!!!

yes nettos is in Britain

yes most major towns have at least one store: it's a no frills supermarket selling both known brands and others just at a lower cost than the major supermarkets: you can check out your local branch on their website

Yes it is. cheap stuff, some of it very good, and special "lines" every week. I think it's a Danish firm.

We also have a similar German shop - Lidl. Both are worth a look!

Netto supermarkets can be found in Britain, so too can Lidl and Aldi, however some of the foods are (naturally) not what you would expect here in the U.K. - certainly when looking for 'branded' goods.

I would opt for shopping in a 'proper' supermarket, you'll end up there anyway for the goods you couldn't buy in either Netto, Lidl or Aldi, and think of the common sense in saving not only petrol/diesel but leg work too!

Stick to Tesco, Sainsbury's or Morrison's! (or even the Co-Op!)

Yes they are in Britain, I think the majority are in the North, but there are some in Canterbury and Luton

Yes they have a chain of shops all over the place. Also aldi.
