Question: Dessert table!? yay or nay!? and what should i put on it!?

im getting engaged and we are having the party at a hall in a medditeranean restaurant!.!.!.!.but i want to have a dessert table to compliment the cake, i am jordanian originally and my fiancee is italian, so i want a little of both cultures, something everyone will enjoy, ddo you think its agood idea and what should i have on the dessert table, where can i get it!.!.!.draw me a whole picture here so i can visualize it!!

I would do a small dessert table with fresh fruits for those who aren't totally into cake, diabetic or watching their figure!.!.!. stuff like that!. How about having mini desserts, a couple selections of signature desserts from both your homelands, would be quite lovely!. And maybe a dessert that combines ingredients indigenous to both your countries!.
