What would your ideal BBQ scenario compromise of?!

Question:

What would your ideal BBQ scenario compromise of?

Answers:
Comfortable patio furniture...a swing. Lots of shade. BBQ chicken and steaks over the fire. Live music. Good Wine and Imported Beer. Laughter, sunshine, cool breezes, good group of people. Going into night, the music softens and dancing lasts long. Everyone goes home, smiling!

Beautful, clear, sunny day. Family and friends gathered round in the shade laughing. The smell of hamburgers and italian sausage in the air. And of course, a cooler of ice cold bud.

Tiki torches, lots of food set out on the buffet... potato salad, dogs and burgers, cold drinks (beer!), finger foods, lots of seating, music, friends and family... very casual

Late afternoon
Summertime
Poolside
A real barbeque that doesn't run out of wood or gas
Mosquito repellant and coils
Alcohol
Potato Bake
Steak
Sausages
Chicken Kebabs
Thinly sliced potatoes
Really well cooked onion
and most important,
Good company.

Good food, good wine, company and weather!!

My ideal BBQ is when my family comes over and I mean everyone comes over...the cousins, aunt, uncles, grandparents, everyone! We start by mingling and my moms and aunts start making the drinks then everyone's loosening up and then we start the cooking. To be honest the cooking is continuous we just cook throughout the day on the grill. While the food's cooking all the kids are in the pool and we're just having a blast gossiping, talking, eating, the whole shebang! Then after the little kids eat and have their fix of swimming we put them in one of the rooms with a good Disney movie and eventually they fall asleep..always works like a charm! Then we just continue the party with dancing, some more eating, and mingling. To be honest this is what our summer weekends are like when the family gets together and (hopefully) we're all getting along! LOVE IT!

Here's my list:
BBQ Pork and chicken
plenty of munchies
cold soda and juice, water, etc.
sunny Memorial Day by the pool
kids playing
all the family
plenty of games
lots of pictures
swimming
SUNSCREEN!
mosquito zappers
4 wheeling
everyone happy
kids tired by end of day
party lasting well into the night
tiki torches!

Lots of lawn chairs, umbrellas, hamburgs, hot dogs, condiments, chicken, baked potatoes on the grill, corn oncob,watermelon,soda,beer,win...

Everyone gave such great answers! I read someone mentioned memorial day by the pool. Ooops! I have to remind yu that memorial day is for remembering our veterans. It's not just a "fun" day off of work. Do your homework sweetie, and learn about the true meaning of what memorial day is all about. That's troubling to me.
