Birthday cupcakes for a boy??!

Question:

Birthday cupcakes for a boy??

My son is going to be 2 and his birthday has no real theme because we cannot decide on.. So, it is just a general b-day party.. I need ideas for decorating the cupcakes so that they do not look cheesy..
Thanks..

Answers:
Unfrosted Surprise cupcakes.

Place small reece's peanut butter cup in each tin before you pour the batter in.

Each cupcake contains a peanut butter surprise.

Or given allergies these days. Use peppermint patties instead for a minty surprise.

Or just pour in batter and add a hershey kiss to the top of each raw cupcake. Batter bakes around the kiss for a nice chocolatey topper.

put the teenage mutant nija turtles on them OR POWER RANGERS

make cupcakes with white frosting and decorate them with a spiral of blue frosting and some multi-colored sprinkles.
if he's two, he might enjoy helping with that.
have fun
??

spiderman..
make spiderwebs out of white icing on top of the cupcakes and have like those little ring spiders

Frost them with chocolate frosting and sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies on top. Then stick a Gummy Worm in each one. They come out really cute.

We got the small colored vanilla wafer & put a face on it with pre-made store bought gel icing in a tube.

We made vanilla cupcakes & iced them with white icing. We put little black licorice strips on the cupcakes to look like spider legs & put the vanilla wafers with the icing faces on top of the licorice strips "glued" to the cupcake with a little icing.

POOF....instant spider cupcakes that were so much fun!

For my grandsons birthday I iced the cupcakes with white icing then sprinkled brown sugar to look like dirt then I took cheap match box cars that I bought at a dollar store{ there were 6 in a pack} and placed 1 on top of each cup cake, they loved then each child got a toy and it was cheap

i am in the middle of planning my daughters 1st bday and there is a website called 1stwishes.com and they have the most decorations and themes for everything and they are all so cute and include everything. check it out.

Decorate w/ icing piped from a bag w/ a star tip. Then in a contrasting color, pipe a big ol' 2 on top if it.

You could make a minty icing,

by using

115g unsalted butter, soften
225 icing sugar, sived
1 tsp mint essence
Green/Blue food colouring
100g plain choco chips/white chips

Frost the cupcakes with icing in blue and green icing with dark chips on the green and white on the blue..or however you fancy. Your son can help you sprinkle the chocolate chips.

Alternatively..you could simply ice in blue and add roll out white icing, using a small star cutter you could add a little star and then press silver balls into them..however they may not be suitable for little children..im not sure!!

Have a great time, hope i have been of use!!

When in doubt...

Go ask Martha.

These sports ones were cute. Other ideas are green frosting with bugs. How about white frosting with Hersheys kiss on top, or miniature chocolates on top. How about fill a ice cream cone with ice cream. Freeze it for an hour. Place a cupcakes upside down over cone and Decorate with frosting and sprinkles! The kids loved the last idea the best. My
1 1/2 year old wouldn't let go until it was gone.

We put all cupcakes together and then put the icing over all the tops combined. The kids loved them cause they can pick and pull their own out. You don't even need a themed character.

You could put a character or a sports' ball or maybe even a design. you use a tip to make a star and put a star and a 2 on top or two BIG candles!!!!!!!!!make sure they are colorful because KIDS LOVE COLOR!!!!!!!!!!

Recently my son turned 2 and I made an Elmo cake for him. It took me hours! Plus I made cupcakes (which took me very little time to make) in red, white & blue swirls. He looked at the Elmo cake & went straight for the cupcakes! At this age they don't care about themes or colours or anything! Unless they're exceptionally bright, they don't even know it's their birthday! So, with that in mind I suggest make him some cupcakes of your choice. He'll love them because you made them and for no other reason. I hope he has a wonderful birthday!
p.s to jazz the cakes up, you could put lollies or chocolates on top.
