Answers:
Chocolate fountains are fickle appliances!. Lower priced models tend to work irratically!. Rental units cost over $1000 to buy new and are much more consistent!. The Chocolate should contain around 65% cocoa butter and may require the addition of vegetable oil to ensure smooth flow!. There are brands online that claim not to need oil, they run about $5 a pound!. you will need about 8-10 pounds to run a successful fountain!. This is usually supplied by the rental outfit!. The only other problem is that chocolate tends to seize after a while in the fountain!. If this occurs reheat the chocolate gently and whisk in additional oil to loosen up the chocolateWww@FoodAQ@Com

i use girodeli**** sry 4 the misspelling you can also use nestle or any of those!.!.!. i don't recommend using just regular chocolate for dipping, in my opinion it doesn't taste as good, but remember for chocolate fountains you have to add oil to the chocolate when you melt it!.

hope i helped :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
