What's the best way to make a table reservation?!

Question:

What's the best way to make a table reservation?

Answers:
You should call and make a reservation atleast 10 hours before going there. You can find the telephone numbers by searching Yahoo or Google and/or pick up the restaurants card at your next visit. Internet reservations are okay but may not always work.

Call and ask.

1. call one day before and book
2. intern reservation for a big and famous restaurant
3. go to that place yourself some hours earlier and book it

Under the name Dr Hannibal Lecter & ask if they have Liver on the menu.

use a telephone

If it's a popular restaurant, or if you're booking around a big holiday, call a couple of weeks in advance.

Email if possible. Otherwise make sure you get the name of the person who took the reservation. The more popular the restaurant, the earlier you need to book. If you are late, and there are only two of you, offer to take an early reservation and to leave early (have dessert at home!) Obviously, don't do this on a special occasion, otherwise you will be getting a reservation for one the next time!

call the restaurant the day before or 2 days ahead and reserve

Call a week ahead of time

CALL AND ASK FOR RESERVATIONS

Aaaaaa. Call?

Use OpenTable.com

You can make reservations and add notes, e.g. you want a table by the window, champagne waiting for you when you arrive, etc.

You also earn points that you can use toward gift certificate at restaurants.

call ahead

First of all, it is best to book a table over the phone, because at a lot of restaurants, e-resos are not guaranteed, or don't get processed as quickly. Call as early as possible, make sure that you get the name of the person that takes the reservation, and if possible call to confirm the day of.
