Question:

What should I give my guest for coming to my 70's-80's party?

Answers:
A moon ring. Not that expensive and easily obtained

disco ball key chains

Pet Rocks

Teeny little disco ball key chains...I'd love it!

slap braclets if you can find them.

If its a real 70's party give them cocaine, and if its an 80's party XTC...of course!

a medal................

Rubik's cubes.

You could get some shirts with a logo on them of something that came out in the 70-80's. Or specific candy that came out then......try this site for ideas:

platform shoes and leg warmers

For food snacky stuff, try tang, starbursts, candy necklaces, candy rings, that weird vanilla stick dip thing with sugar packets (don't remember what they are called). Little disco balls, oh and rice krispe treats made from home not the kind you get in the store today. you micht also want to give out strawberry shortcake (old school not new school) stickers memrobillia, rainbow bright, transformers, he-man she-ra stuff.

-songs and music of 70's - 80's
-hairbands and thick plastic bracelets for girls
-dressing code: mini skirt (girls) and jeans (boys)
-big sunglasses

Make a human sized cut out stand up of two couples, one couple dressed in disco 70's (although the 70's were remembered for disco it only lasted one year) and one couple dressed in 80's (like spandex pants, spiked and tipped hair, platforms and corsets) Leave the faces cut out so that your guests can stick their own faces in them and have their picture taken. Give them those pictures as gifts, uses silver mirrored frames for the 70's pictures and hot glue red and white striped straws (or make blown up copies of rolled up dollar bills ) around the 80's picture frames that will reference the coke days of yore.

The 80's non party fashion was rolled up sleeves on jackets for men and unbelievably huge shoulder pads for women.

Those plastic shirt holders that are shaped like a "no smoking" symbol. The ones you feed the bottom of your shirt through and keep it on a "side pony tail" for the shirt! So 80's!

symbols of that era.....peace signs, yellow happy smiley faces,
disco balls,lava lamps,black lights & posters,patchouli scent,rebel flags,....small trinkets of various kinds....key chains, pens, balloons, address books,date books,incense & burners,..etc...

Tie Dyed Hankies

Garbage Pail Kids cards if you can find them

give them groovy gift bags

tie/dye t shirts

Leg Warmers
Lace Gloves
Head Bands

A copy of a mixed CD of the classiest and cheesiest music of the 70s and 80s. Something for them to remember the evening with , and relatively quick, cheap and easy to make. Download your fave songs eg ABBA, Beatles, Madonna, Hot Chocolate, Blondie etc.
