Summer drink recipes...?!

Question:

Summer drink recipes...?

anyone have a good cool summer drink recipe, i'm planning on having several pool parties, and i need a recipe for a large group of people.(alcohol only)

Answers:
planter's punch

A classic summer drink, this punch has many variations. The recipe here is the best I have ever tasted. The secret is in one special ingredient: Angostura. Named after the Venezuelan town where it originated, Angostura is an aromatic blend of herbs and spices. Here's what you'll need:

3 oz. gin, vodka or scotch
1? oz. syrup (mix 2 pounds sugar with 1? cups water and use as needed)
? oz. cherry juice
1? oz. lime juice (squeeze 12 fresh limes)
1 generous dash of Angostura bitters
4 cups ice cubes

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend for 3 to 4 minutes. Pour the contents into tall glasses. As a garnish, feel free to add a slice of banana and orange, a cherry, and fresh mint to each. Or, if you like, just down it right out of the blender.

pi?a colada

A pi?a colada is a standard and classic summer drink, correct? Maybe, but not my version. I guarantee that this pi?a colada will turn up the heat and take your party to another level.
Here's what you'll need:

4 chunks ripe pineapple
1 oz. coconut cream
3 tbsp. sugar
? oz. milk
? oz. apricot brandy
1 oz. coconut rum
1 oz. dark rum

Blend the ingredients with crushed ice until frozen. Watch out, men: women go insane for this summer drink. Trust me, I have stories.

iced coffee with panache

I love coffee, but come summertime, the last thing I want, besides warm beer in the sun, is a hot cup of joe. But you can have it all -- and a serious kick -- with the following recipe.
Here's what you'll need:

8 oz. strong coffee, chilled (dark roast is best)
? oz. hazelnut liqueur
1 oz. coffee liqueur
1 cup coffee cream
2 scoops mocha ice cream

Blend the ingredients together until they become smooth, and serve. This is the perfect summer evening drink. On a rooftop under the stars with a group of friends, it doesn't get any better than this. Just make sure you have a designated driver.

How much are you willing to spend? JK, look the best drinks are the slush ones. With any flavor of liqour (I use Grey Goose and Patron) mix some Luigi's Italian Ice (I get cherry, its sweeter), and Minute Maid Fruit Juice (or Welches - DO NOT USE COOL-AID OR FAKE JUICE DRINKS!!) and mix it all up in a blender. The cherry ice and fruit juice masks the taste of the liqour allowing one to drink more than intended. This stuff will mess you up BIG TIME. It's a good drink and I have been using this recipe for over 5 years. It has more flavor than using ice and doesn't get watered down. Have sooo much fun and drink two for me!!

Yeah dude, the old summer classic - Pimms!! You cannot go wrong with this. Don't hesitate to buy this many bottles - it goes down ultra-fast and you don't wanna run out.

Buy 10 x 70cl bottles of Pimms
15 bottles of Lemondade
Several:
Cucumbers
Apples
Oranges
Lemons

and some fresh mint, bags of ice and long plastic stirrers.
(and some glass jugs if you don't have any)

Store the Pimms & lemonade in the fridge to keep ultra cool, and so that you don't need too much ice in the jugs.

Cut up the fruit and cucumbers into little pieces and keep in a large bowl with a big ladle/spoon ready for chucking into fresh jugs of Pimms mix.

Mix 1 part Pimms with 2 parts lemonade in the jugs and chuck in a load of fruit and top off with a few sprigs of mint. Stir it up really well and serve - preferably getting the fruit in the glasses too. Choose tall glasses and serve with stirrers.

Or, to make it by the glass:

Traditional Pimms No.1
1 slice per person of; orange, lemon, apple, cucumber
1 sprig of mint
2 parts lemonade to 1 part Pimms

Enjoy!
