HELP! I'm trying to a plan a fun filled day for my dad b-day!!!?!

Question:

HELP! I'm trying to a plan a fun filled day for my dad b-day!!!?

I'm trying to plan a surprise day for my dad's birthday meaning the whole day is dedicated to him and we just do a lot of fun stuff. I'm not that close to my dad so I don't have any ideas of what I should do and I definitely cannot talk to him about it because I want to catch him off guard. What are some good ideas and events I can do for him???

Answers:
1. Take him to the Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament which is this really cool event where they serve you dinner while you watch a live show of knights fighting.

2. Try the Twilight Historical Tour which is a haunted ship called the Queen Mary in Long Beach. It's supposed to be a really creppy haunted tour!

3. A day at Disneyland =) and maybe you should take him to dinner at the Blue Bayou. It's that cool restaurant inside of Pirates of the Caribbean.

4. You could go to see a movie at the IMAX theatre. I know that right now they're playing Deep Sea 3D and Dinosaurs Alice 3D. You should definitely take him if he watches the Discovery Channel or any shows like that.

I can't think of any more but maybe you could try those...Good luck!

Pick a large park. There are some that have lakes with water activities like sea dos etc and you can have a large bbq, pinata, bob for apples, set up volleyball game, water balloon fight, frisbee

Driving Range
Golf course and Lunch
Casino
horse races

I loved SherryPie's answers. Those are good.

You can also go fishing or plan a day at an amusement park (make him feel like a kid again!).

Take him out to eat some of his favorite food and just make him feel special. That's really what he'll appreciate most.

I am sure your dad will love anything, just because he is spending the day with you.

Have fun!

go bowling and go to a movie and go out on a dinner

golfing

I love planning stuff! But, you give no idea of what his hobbies are, how far away are you from him? Would THAT be a surprise? How old he is? What he likes to eat? What day of the week do you plan this? (big difference)

My suggestions would be, with the information available, is to surprise him early morning (making sure he has no other plans that day) Make a picnic lunch for you two (or whoever)
Take 'everyone' to the park (or go to the zoo) OR, just eat at the kitchen table..make it a picnic with the checkered table cloth (that you can get for $1 at any $1 store) Get the picnic basket, the whole thing. Try an early evening of bowling, get some chicken wings & hang out. Go to a 'dessert' place and have some pie or cake or ice cream. Nothing has to be expensive to have a good time. OR, take him to the most expensive restaurant in your town, hire a band, get a limo, whoooaaaa, the options are endless!

I'm sure that your Dad would be happy with anything at all that you did together. You're very thoughtful. Take care.

is it a day with just you and your dad? or a party type setting?

you could start with breakfast in bed for dad( a nice tray, fresh coffee, and something nice for breakfast not just toast or cereal...make him an omelet or pancakes or french toast etc, with the newspaper if dad likes reading the paper)

maybe a movie later in the morning? something he would like to see? or maybe a round of golf if he is a golfer?

maybe a sporting event he would enjoy going to? cultural event?

day at the park with family and friends? pack a picnic lunch, bring some sports stuff( volleyball game etc)

a hike somewhere with a picnic at the end?

if you have a party......lots of snack type food........taco salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, deli meats with variety of bread, veggies and dip, pigs in a blanket, variety of chips and dads favorite snacks......google fun party games there are tons........good luck
