Some of my favorite baby shower games:

First, I love the animal family game! Go to this website:
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subject...

You will find a long list of animals. Each animal has a special name for a male, female, baby, and family. For example, a male deer is a buck, a female is a doe, a baby is a fawn, and a family is a herd. Each species has unique names, so you can pick 10 common animals that most people would know (horse, cow, dog, cat, owl, etc.) You would list 10 animals at the left, then make four columns to the right. Above the columns write "Daddy" "Mommy" "Baby" and "Family." Guests have to fill in the unique names I mentioned (buck, doe, etc. for a deer, jack, jill, and joey for a kangaroo, etc.) Whoever gets the most right answers wins. You can add a really hard one for a tiebreaker if you like, OR, if this sounds complicated, just list the animals and have people name the babies - that's a little simpler and they are all still unique.

Another game I like because it's different: do the trey of baby items with a twist! Have the mother to be carry the trey around the room for all the guests to look at. Let her even go around twice and give them a second look. Then have her totally leave the room, and tell your guests (who are trying to remember the items on the trey) that now they have to write down in as much detail as possible what the mom-to-be was wearing. They get a point for each detail, like her jewelry, # of buttons on her shirt, color of her shoes, hair style, glasses, earrings, etc. I love this game because even though she just walked by everyone twice, they are totally caught off guard and you can just hear their brains cramping!

Here's another favorite. This one is a great icebreaker to play first. Give the mom-to-be a present, have everyone sit in the circle, and read this story. Whenever you say "right" "left" or "Wright" they pass the gift. It's total chaos and lots of fun.

Mr. WRIGHT prepared to take Mrs. WRIGHT RIGHT to the hospital as she just went into labor. As he LEFT in the car, he turned RIGHT out of the driveway. He had to go RIGHT back home because he LEFT Mrs. WRIGHT at home. They both got in the car on the LEFT side as the RIGHT side door wouldn't open. Mr. and Mrs. WRIGHT again LEFT for the hospital, turning RIGHT out of the driveway. An argument occurred about the RIGHT turn, as Mrs. WRIGHT said that Mr. WRIGHT should have turned LEFT. Mr. WRIGHT kept insisting that he was absolutely RIGHT, but Mrs. WRIGHT kept insisting that the hospital entrance was on the LEFT. Two blocks away after another LEFT turn they discovered they had LEFT Mrs. WRIGHT’s over night bag at home. So they made a LEFT turn, then a RIGHT to go back home to where they had LEFT the bag. As they turned RIGHT on to their street, Mrs. WRIGHT said "Let's just go RIGHT to the hospital and send someone else RIGHT to the house for the fact that we LEFT the bag on the couch". They went LEFT at the next block and turned RIGHT back around. Finally at the hospital Mr. WRIGHT pulled up to the front where he LEFT his wife to go RIGHT in. Inside the hospital they wheeled Mrs. WRIGHT away. “Where is my wife? I only LEFT her for a minute!” Exclaimed Mr. WRIGHT. A nurse rushed him RIGHT down the hall, they made a LEFT turn, then a RIGHT, and a LEFT turn again. Mr. WRIGHT found Mrs. WRIGHT already in delivery. But he then realized that he had LEFT the video camera in the car. RIGHT away he ran out of the room and back to the car. Not only had he LEFT the camera but he had LEFT the lights on too. Mr. WRIGHT wasted no time; he ran RIGHT back to his wife’s room. As Mr. WRIGHT walked in all he heard was screams from his wife because he had LEFT her room and was nowhere in sight. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. As Mrs. WRIGHT had the baby Mr. WRIGHT passed out on the floor. But when he came to he got a shock once more. For there he saw Mrs. WRIGHT embracing their new little bundles of joy. With two babies on her LEFT and one on the RIGHT, Mrs. WRIGHT turned to her husband and said “there is one thing LEFT to do, I think we should name these WRIGHT babies, how about you?

I also love to display a large diaper cake. They are great conversation pieces, and all your guests will ask lots of questions about them. Then for a game, you can have them guess how many diapers and what surprises are hidden in the cake. Check out this website:

I hope your shower is a great success!!

scavenger hunt,bingo

get some dipers then get different kinds of candy bars gring them up then put them in the dipers and then people have to eat a piece and guess what it is..its kinda gross but fun

ok u could put some m&ms or anything else in a big baby botle and have people guess how many m&ms are in there who ever gets really close or has the exact number give them somthing as a award like a gift card to anywhere or give them somthing else

You can always do the one that you hand out rolls of toilet paper. Everyone rolls out the amount of toilet tissue that they think the mother to be is. The person who guesses the closest to the right size wins.

Crossing legs. Everyone gets a clothesline pin. If you cross your legs and someone catches you, they take it away. Whoever gets the most clothes pins win.

Word scramble. Scramble up words associated with babies. The person who unscrambles them the fastest wins.

Thats all I can think of now. Good Luck.

make little pacifiers - glue two life savers together - set one on the table and stand the other up in the hole and glue it like that. turn it over and glue a jelly bean on the other side of the hole. thread ribbon through and make a necklace. Each guest wears a necklace and for the shower you pick a word that is not allowed to be said (ours was cute) if anyone says the word has to give up their necklace to the person that catches them first, the person with the most necklaces wins a prize.
Make a list of things that you would expect moms to have in their purses(not diaper bags) and put points for the items and the person with the most points wins a prize.
Have a book for people to write words of advice in for the new mom.
If mom is still pregnant measure her belly with ribbon and then each person cuts a length of ribbon guessing what size belly will be, compare with moms original ribbon, whoever is closest wins a prize.
Have fun.

post office, spin the bottle, leap frog, volley ball and arm wrestling. if you get bored with these call me and I'll mud wrestle any woman there .

pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey(for the kids that got dragged there by their parents against their will)

snacks and stuff

and that's about all i know about baby showers, unfortunately... I've only been to 1 or 2 baby showers myself so sorry for the unhelpful advice if i made not much of a help

I think you should definitely decorate with pinks and yellows or greens and blues. Some fun games I played at my friends baby shower was that diaper one with the candy smashed in, also, we filled baby bottles with beer and made the men try and finish. Gift little gifts for winners and provide little party favors. Make a calendar and place "bets" on when they expect the little baby due.

I'm not that creative, but what they did was they had some girls who had material, patterns, and what not and had people take it home and send it back to one main person who made a baby quilt out of the women who sent the quilt sheets back. It turned out to be super cute and personal.

Give/Make a diaper cake (not edible...diapers are so expensive its a cute way to give the gift in a little pattern.

For the parents to be, make sure you have a notebook and pen to write down who gave what so they can send thank you cards....

MAKE TEAMS OF TWO PEEPS, BLIND FOLD BOTH OF THEM FACE THEM TOWARDS EACH OTHER, AND HAVE ONE OF THEM FEED THEM BABY FOOD, TAKE PEACES OF TOILET PAPER AND MAKE GUEST GUESS HOW MANY SQUARES OF TP. FIT AROUND HER BELLY.
