Is it stupid to have 4 parties for a one year old?
My Cousin just had 4 parites for her baby girl. I think its way too much, what do you think?

Yeah its a bit much but its cool i guess only cause thats a bigger deal its usually 1, 15/16 depending on nationality, 18 and 21 while your young which are the best years then its all up hill from there lolz
Hell no, it is very special to have their very first birthday party. it done it with both of my boys.
OK 4 parties might be a bit much... but I'd be very mad if my parents didn't have a 1st birthday party for me!!! Sure I don't remember it - but I've seen the pictures (plus I'm sure my parents really needed help with the cost of clothing for their ever growing child =) )

A child's first birthday is usually more of a celebration for the parents. Having a child is something that brings so much happiness into the lives of the parents and it is not strange that they want to celebrate their daughter's presence in their lives. Four parties may seem excessive to many people, but especially if it is their first child, they are probably just very happy and excited.
It seems a bit much until you have a little one of your own. I would have probably thought the same thing, but I was so excited when my little girl turned one that I overdid it too. We had just 2 parties, but one was a total blowout. We took alot of pictures and video for her to see later, and also her grandparents were there who may not be around later due to illness. We thought we needed to celebrate while we still had them with us. Lots of balloons and streamers, a huge cake and lots of food, friends and family. Actually, to be truthful with you, I think the party was more for Mommy and Daddy than the one year old - we were just glad she made it to one!!

i know that there is so much love given to this child on a daily basis and sometimes both sides of the family have different schedules. And you know that they all want to get a chance to spend time with her on her special day. To this day my son has had at least two parties a year. And our families live in different states so it made it difficult to be at the same place at the same time. Love them while they're here
i think its completely retarded and a total waste of money however if it were my family... i would just go along with it and be like ya i wish i had that kind of money ... and also its 4 opportunities to eat cake and ice cream!!! yay for that!
yes it is. coz the kid won't even remember that all of them happen. all tht she will remember is people telling her tht she had had 4 1 st year b day parties.
TOOOO much, sorry. One nice,cute one ok but how if they had donated the money (spent for the other 3 partie's) for poor children in need?

yeah! Talk about a spoiled kid! I would say 2 at the most, 1 for family, and one for friends, but 4?!?
