Party at my house...?!

Question:

Party at my house...?

I am having a gathering/party at my very small flat. I have just 15 on the guest list, but only 4 seats in my living room. Is it wrong to have your guests sitting on the floor? It isnt a classy party or anything. Its my 21st, so we are all just going to be getting drunk anyway. What do you think?

Answers:
Congrats on your 21st! I'd say it's not the best idea to have guests on the floor. Go out and buy some foldable chairs, and you can just stick them whereever.

Cheers!

Not at all! If you're really worried about it, go to a store that sells home furnishings for relatively cheap (Ikea, or some such) and buy a bunch of cheap throw pillows.

I see nothing wrong with sitting on the floor as long as you don't do it the whole night- maybe people could rotate with chairs in the floor.

But since you'll al be getting drunk anyway, I don't think anyone will give a damn.

well since its all your friends and not the president or anything heck i think its fine! they'd probably end up setting on the floor anyway! ive discovered as long as everyone is enjoying the party and the company the surroundings dont matter

I think as long as everyone invited knows each other and are comfortable around each other, the seating situation is fine. Maybe get some relationship hookups out of the small space!

Find some unexpensive plastic chairs or lawn chairs at dollar general. You don't need 15, but if you have four or five more chairs that will be just fine. Borrow some chairs from other people or get some cushions to get people comfty on the fllor.

Happy BD!

i think its very rude you shuuld buy more

I suggest serving muchie/finger foods. Don't make them have to sit down to eat.

Oh happy 21st! no its not..... it will be funn to just get drunk no one is going to care..... If you think you need more room to sit people get your chairs from like the kicthen or dinning room or folding chairs and put them in the room... It wont matter anyway and it will be fun.... (Have fun)

At least if they are sitting on the floor they can't fall off the chair when they get too drunk!!!!!!!!!!! You could always get a few plastic storage boxes or something for them to sit on and that way you could use them for something else after.

Buy or make a couple of cheap throw pillows or cushions for the floor. As long as you are providing someplace that you would be happy sitting on if you were a guest at a party. Sounds like you may need extra crash space for your guests anyway.
Or they could get into pajamas and sit on sleeping bags.

One word.....Pillows, lots of them.

I think you should ask people that have folding chairs or camping chairs to bring them.

It sorta falls back to your crowd type. If you think they'd be okay with it than it should be cool. If chairs would only crowd the area than you may want to have part of the celebration in another room...ex- the kitchen. You don't (and shouldnt) all be in the same room at the same time. ^_^

Happy 21!

everybody that is invited should not care what the quality of the accomodations you are able to provide because they all should appreciate having the ability to be invited to such a special occasion in someone's life.......have fun and good luck!

sound like the start of a great orgy
can i comeeeeeeeeeeee...........

If it isn't classy, and you're getting drunk, i highly doubt they'll care where they sit. it's a party lol. Relax and have a good time and don't worry about stupid things like that lol, if they're ur friends they wont care.

You need more chairs. Would you want to go to a party and sit on the floor all night? I would think it was ghetto. You need seating. Anybody that has any sense of party planning or ettiquette would know that is a horrible idea. Even if you could come up with 6 more chairs (lawn, plastic, whatever), that would help. Don't you have a table in your kitchen?
