Venue to host a 40th birthday party for my husband?!

Question:

Venue to host a 40th birthday party for my husband?

We have kids and so do most of our friends, so I'm looking for a location that can entertain both adults and children (2yrs-7yrs). Does anybody have any ideas on the type of place I could look for?
thanks!!

What's your location?

Suggest you find a restaurant or catering facility with a large enough private room as well as parking to accommodate your guests. Food should be served buffet style as there will be lots of strollers, kids, nannies etc. Hire an emcee/keyboard player who can alternate dance music for adults and games for the older kids. Also hire a clown who does the balloon animals for the kids, a roving magician who does card tricks and small hand magic at the tables for adults and kids, and a face painter who will do designs on the kids' hands or faces set off to one side. Make sure you have plenty of room for strollers, hats and coats, and a table for presents for hubby. This needs a bit of organization but will work for all. Of course, the quality of the food and service is most important and you may also want to serve a choice of wines. Good luck.

I'd consider renting a hall someplace (church, community center, hotel ballroom,...) and having the event catered. I'd also hire a couple of babysitters to look after and entertain the kids. That way, you and the kids are "together" but each group is having its own (age appropriate) fun.

Have fun!

My sister had her husband's 40th at the Pizza Company. I don't konw if you have one of those there, but there a similar to Dave and Buster's. They have games for everyone of all ages. We got a private room and my sister gave $5 gift cards for everyone to use to play the games. It was a lot of fun. I think they even provide a cake. If not, they let you bring your own.

A big spacey banquet hall.
