I am having a picnic for my birthday, what should I do if it rains?!

Question:

I am having a picnic for my birthday, what should I do if it rains?

I only have a small flat so it's not big enough for a party. Over 50 people are coming to my birthday picnic and I would hate to cancel celebrations because of the weather. Any other suggestions? I live in London...

Answers:
Take a gazebo or 2, very cheap and can be left in the box until the weather starts to turn.. Good luck.

marquee?

buy one of those really big umbrellas that go above garden furniture!

then you shall stay dry!

Could you perhaps try to hire a hall that has outside facilities? A room in a pub so you can use their beer garden...? Could you use a friends garden and buy a gazebo or a cheap marquee (you can get them from Argos and I think B&Q/Homebase etc.)

hire a hall from a church or social club so keeping the price down

PANIC !!!! LOL

Go to Kensington Gardens and have your picnic close to the Round Pond. If it rains you can either all get under the bandstand or strip off and go for a swim. You will be arrested of course, but what the heck have a great party.

PS Don't tell everyone where it will be you don't want it trashed!

if it rains tell everyone to get naked

go to a pub if it rains simple

Tell everyone to bring an unbrella, just in case? There's not much you can do really is there? You've planned it outside knowing full well what the weather is like in this country. If it rains, it rains so, if you've not the room for everyone at your flat, you'll have to cancel it or get wet should the weather turn. There are pop up marquees available but you'd need a few for 50 people and you'd probably need permission to erect them too. Just keep your fingers crossed :)

If it does rain, I would suggest serving lukewarm Coors light. Your picnic would be classified as the WORST picnic ever, but people will be talking about it for years! You'll be legendary! On the other hand, you will be known as the person who served Coors light to people . You will be ostracized and looked upon as a freak, deservedly so.No wonder you don't have any friends.

Have a hall or restaraunt on reserve. Call up a restaraunt and ask them if you can reserved for 50 until a set time, maybe put the reservation an hour after your picnic starts. That way if an hour into picnic or say 20 minutes you still have that pending reservation at the eatery. If two hours go buy and then rain. Well...you had two hours, you can always just have everyone get together another time.

take an umbrella along!!!

just have a plan A and a plan B that way you are ready to whatever kind of weather may occur

go to your house or find a park with a over hang or go to like chuckee cheeses or the movies

Celebrate in the rain!!! You can have your cakes later isn't it? For the celbration, you can play in the rain..It brings good child memories...=D

find a big pub.

you can always borrow your neighbors' flats.. peacefully or by force... be creative

If it looks like rain, be smart...rent and put up a large tent!!
