What kind of "main dish" can I make for a party with snack foods?!

Question:

What kind of "main dish" can I make for a party with snack foods?

I'm having a Beauty Control party and I have to serve the food. I have all of the additional things but I need a main dish. I don't want to do sandwich trays because they are expensive to make and I don't have the time to make them myself. What is something that is relatively cheap, easy to make, and good for this kind of thing? I'll only be feeding around 10 at the most.

Answers:
Use the little frozen fully cooked meatballs in spaghetti sauce.
Have the mini dinner rolls & shreded cheese they can make their own minisubs

make a fondue
that way you can dip in just snacks

Quickie Swedish meatballs. Buy small meatballs (already made in freezer section of the grocery store)...put them in a crock pot, cover with cream of mushroom soup, heat and serve with french bread. Easy and yummy!

I would make Party Wings. You know those mini chicken drumsticks and wings like they have at resturants? They come in those big bags in the supermarket. They are really cheap and you can get several different marinades to have different flavors. Try Lawry's Marinades Carribean Jerk and Italian Garlic Steak... they are great on chicken! Hope this helps!!!

This might be good...

Or you could try the pepperoni pizza twist...

Mix chopped pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, 1 clove chopped garlic and some Italian seasoning in a bowl.

This is your filling.

Use to loaves of refrigerator french bread... split each down the middle length wise... but do not cut all the way through.
You want to flatten them out a bit to make room for your pizza filling.

Layer half of the mixture on each loaf. Pinch the edges closed and then roll over so the seem is facing down.

Cross one over the other and then shape into a braid.

Cut small slits to vent the steam.

You can also brush with an egg to make it shiny.

Bake until golden brown. Slice and serve with marinara sauce...

You have a couple of possibilities here in that you can purchase something frozen that you can bake in your oven as a main dish (lasagne, enchiladas, mac and cheese etc.) or you can make it yourself either ahead of time to reheat or pop in the oven during part of the party. Here's a recipe I recently used to feed 12 people:

Asparagas Chicken Bundles:

12 large refrigerated crescent rolls
2 tubs chive and onion cream cheese
1 rotisserie chicken
3 lbs asparagas

Trim stalks of asparagas and place in boiling water for 2 minutes. Remove and set aside. Open crescent rolls and fold out on a greased cookie sheet. The large ones will bake up pretty full, so you might need two sheets. If you are using darker ones, line them with foil first and then spray with butter flavored cooking spray. Spread each roll with 2 tsps. of the cream cheese. Remove skin from the rotisserie chicken and shred the breast meat and some of the thigh meat. Place some of the meat in the center of the roll and top with 3 stalks of asparagas. Top with 1 tsp of cream cheese and roll up. Place seam side down on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until golden and puffy. I made these before my guests arrived and put them in the oven shortly before we took a dinner break. I also served these with a great parisian green salad with dried cranberries and candied walnuts with a white balsamic vinegrette and a "chocolate bender cake" for dessert. It was a light, unique and flavorful dinner!

Quiche. You can buy them frozen, they don't take long to cook, they're not messy, and they're fairly cheap. They're also a little "fancier" than a sandwich tray. The no name brands taste just as good as the more expensive top brands.

I would make a crab & pasta salad. imitation crab. thats good and fillling. Have a good time

Do it your self taco salad,, Seafood pasta ,

pigs in a blanket are simple and great. lil smokies in barbecue sauce. brisket of course. tuna or chicken salad either dressed up or sandwiches. pasta or spaghetti is great
