Suggestions for good target audience for elegant appetizer cookbook?!

Question: Suggestions for good target audience for elegant appetizer cookbook!?
I am doing the layout for a cookbook titled 'Easy & Elegant & Appetizers' that my sister (and her friend) are working on!.

"A selection of carefully chosen appetizers can turn any gathering into an elegant party!. Easy & Elegant Appetizers is all about combining high quality ingredients, simply prepared, and presented in an elegant way that is sure to impress your guests!.

Recipes are organized according to the amount of time that they will take to prepare!. Party planning menus offer suggestions of which appetizers to combine together!. Full color (full page/full bleed) photographs of each appetizer will help you decide which ones to prepare!."

The book will contain approximately 15 - 30 recipes!.

I need some help with a few questions!. Based on the above description please answer these questions!.

Can you suggest a good target audience!? How much would you be willing to pay for the cookbook!? What is the main competition for the book!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is really unimpressive sizewise !.!.!. Buddy!.
15 to 30 recopies is p r e t t y wimpy!.

No matter what you've heard !.!.!. size REALLY does matter!.

Large (coffee table) appetizer books sell to upper demograhs (bluehairs) in Readers Digest and Family Weekly publications!.

These are purchased for gifts!. Because, “wouldn’t Mary, my niece just love this!?”

Fact is !.!.!. Mary will probably give it away, unread, to Goodwill!.

Ever been to Goodwill, Buddy!? They have tons of BIG books like these … That probably cost some nice aunt $50 or $60 new!.

If I wanted a special recipe I could find it by Googling … And they have quite a few Yahoo Groups devoted to this!.

Ok here’s what you do!. Tie in a non-profit!. Make the cover of the book something that the CEO at the organization will want to market at fund-raisers, other events and door to door!.

Perhaps a local club or organization has an Annual Black & White Ball !.!.!. These could be either sold or given away as perks to the guests!.

Let's see how many we can get into Goodwill that way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd think that the small paperback cookbooks, that you find at the check-out stands at the grocery store, would be your biggest competition!. They sell for about $4!. People who want to do "Martha Stewart" style entertaining are willing to spend alot of money for large cookbooks, but are also willing to spend the time to do elaborate spreads (not "short-cut")!. !.!.!.!. You might target moms with young families (PTAs, Scout troops, or Jr!. Women's Leagues)Www@FoodAQ@Com
