I've seen those mini hot dog stands and such. I'd like to add something different to the food table for my ds's bday party w/o having to hire/rent those big machines.

Answers:
Put popsickles (flavor ice) in the ice tub with the beer and cokes)

Use lettuce to line all the trays you put the food on. Garnish it with pieces of fruit.

Gosh I would do a lot better at this if you told me what exactly you were serving. For instance if you had little smokies you could put a toothpick in each one and stick them all into a big block of cheese.

Some of those chocolate fountains are pretty inexpensive. Their sold all over the place now. Put different things out to dip in the chocolate like cubes of pound cake, angel food cake, fruits, caramels, brownie bites. I heard somewhere you can only use certain kinds of choc. in them so read the lable before hitting the candy isle. As for the hot dog stand idea, make your own. Keep the dogs hot in a crock pot (thats basically how they do it) and fun serving dishes for the condiments. Ketchup, mustard, relish, saurkraut, coleslaw, onions, cooked onions and bell peppers, celery salt, sport peppers. Make an entire table for this and include some sides like potato or macaroni salad, indiviual bags of chips, peanuts, popcorn.

make the whole room a theme. pizzeria, Caribbean , french, mardi gras. oriental trading company has all sorts of stuff cheap. and the sell in bulk they also have an on-line catalog so its easy to use and ships in like 2-3 days. they even have overnight. reasonable prices . good luck

serve your food in those hollowed out bread bowls

What about an indoor s'more maker? Those aren't too spendy, but what a blast!

Or a chocolate fountain.
