I like the sombreros, cactus shot glasses and margarita glasses, and the maracas!. They have alot of ideas!. You can get some chili pepper lights to hang around the room or outside!. Here are a couple of games I found : "Nachos-Eating Competition" Mexican Fiesta Party Game

This Mexican fiesta party game is deliciously fun!. Prior to the party, prepare a plate of nachos (or just corn chips and dip) and divide it among several bowls!. Guests have to pair up, and take one bowl of nachos per team!. One team-member stands behind the other, acting as their ‘arms’, and must feed the nachos to their partner!. The first team to empty their bowl is the winner of this Mexican fiesta party game!. This game could end up being VERY messy, so it’s a good idea to play it outside and provide players with ‘bibs’ to protect their clothes!!

"Chilli-Pepper Challenge" Mexican Fiesta Party Game

Before the party, purchase a variety of chilli-peppers ranging in heat from mild to extremely hot!. Guests start out by eating the mildest chillies, and if they can eat the whole chilli without needing a drink, they move onto the next hottest one!. The game continues, with any player unable to eat a whole chilli (regardless of how hot it is!) or needing to drink, bowing out of the game!. The last player standing - therefore the winner of this feiry Mexican fiesta party game - is the unofficial King or Queen of the Chilli-Pepper challenge!!

As far as food goes, I would have a taco buffet!. Supply the tacos, tortillas, meats, beans, sour cream, salsa, cheeses, etc and let everyone make their own meal!.

Here is an idea for the cake http://www!.icingandthecake!.co!.uk/images/!.!.!.

Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's mariachi!. :)

Food should be easy! Pretty much any combination of meat, cheese, and tortilla should work!. How about differennt kinds of quesadillas with different dipping stuff, like guacamole, red salsa, green salsa, sour cream!.!.!.

Frozen margaritas are the perfect way to say "Feliz Cumpleanos" (happy birthday in spanish)!. Either borrow a couple of blenders that crush ice well, or see about renting some frozen beverage machines from a party rental place!. If you have more than one, you can make strawberry in one, lime in another, and non-alcoholic in another, and whatever other flavors you want!. You can buy the mixes at any liquor store or grocery store with a liquor aisle!. Then get some of those disposable margarita glasses at a party supply place, along with the little paper umbrellas, straws, and plastic drink skewers (to put maraschino cherries and chunks of pineapple on)!. Presentation is everything; you can get away with cheap premixed drinks if you make them pretty!. :)

also, (duh) she'll need a birthday sombrero! Get a plain one at a party supply store, and attach gift wrap bows around where a hat band would go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My husband is Hispanic!. He laughed at your question when I told him!. You already have the mariachi band and pinata!. Carne Asada (soak think cuts of beef in 1/2 can of beer, fresh limes, onion, salt, etc and then grill on bbq)!. Spanish rice!. If you can't make it cheat and use the rice a roni version of it - it's pretty tasty!. Make home made tortilla's or pupusas!. Tamales tend to me more 'party' themed because it takes 2 days to make!. They aren't difficult, just time consuming!. Bright decorations in green, red, and white!. Oh, and of course tequila!.

For activities, well all his family get togethers revolve around a lot of food (home made), lots of visiting with each other, laid back atmosphere, and simple family games!. They aren't from a different planet you know!. :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Get a bunch of rough looking looser gang-banger guys with tatoos there!. Then have a bunch of people dress like illegals and have them get all dusty and stuff, and then have a couple of them jump in the shower and get wet in their clothes, so they look like they just swam across the rio grande!. That oughta do it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

2!. Once they have impressed their partners, the "charros" become drunk with love!. They act as drunk and are rejected by the women!.
3!. The men finally conquer their partners and throw their charro hats to the ground!.
4!. The women bend down to pick up the hats and their partners pass their leg over them!.
5!. Next, men and women march to the rythm of a military tune!.
6!. The dance ends when the couple hide their faces behind the man's hat to kiss!.
