Brainstorming ideas for a 1950s kind of birthday???!
Ok so I really love the 1950s - the music, styles, everything! And I was planning on having a 1950s themed party this year for my 24th birthday with all 50s music, dancing, decorations, cocktails, food, games, etc!. The problem is that I don't have my own place to have it and I'm rethinking renting a hall because of costs!. I still have my heart set on doing something in this theme for my birthday but don't have a lot of money to invest in it!. Any ideas!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

How about a roller rink!?!.!.!.!. or a bowling alley!? Those were popular activities in the 50's, and y'all could still dress up for the party:) Maybe ask them to play 50's music (bring some CDs) !.!.!.!.!.!.!.and forget the Beach Boys - LOL - they weren't 50's music:) (I'm sure you knew that though)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Scenery- Buy a lot of old records and hang them from the ceiling with fishing line!. It gives a nice effect!.
Dress Code- Try and get everyone to dress like they are in the 1950's

Depending on where you live, you might be able to do a google search and find a rock'n'roll themed diner!. Don't know what it would cost though!. Your idea is cute! Www@FoodAQ@Com

sock hop! check out local community centers or parks that you can reserve for free or cheep (20$) Find an outdoor public space where a small gathering and some music would be appropriate have everyone bring a dish!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
