Romantic dinner ideas....?!

Question:

Romantic dinner ideas....?

I want to make a romantic dinner for my boyfriend tommorrow night. He loves seafood and I was hoping to make a 3 course meal ie soup/salad, entree, desert. Any ideas?
Thanks

Answers:
yummy food ideas using foods made for lovers:

Appetizer: Oysters on the half shell or smoked oysters (which you prefer) Most grocery store fish counter have both*

Salad: use Romaine lettuce, and a mix of colored leaves in a pack
red plum or cherry tomato's
mushrooms
cucumbers
and sliced avocados

Entree: Grilled Lobster tails or linguine alfredo with lobster meat or if that's too expensive grill jumbo shrimp on wooden skewers with some onions, cherry tomato's and mushrooms using whatever sauce you like (I like garlic butter but for a romantic dinner... you may not want to! lol)

Desert:

Chocolate cake (small ones) with fresh strawberries and cream or just strawberries and cream

You can buy sauces to avoid making from scratch and also fresh pasta from the fridge at your grocery.

Hope this helps...

I avoided the soup because of the time of year.

Seared scallops wrapped with thick cut bacon.
Followed by Chilean Sea Bass.
Truffles for desert.

use all the sexy foods (aphrodisiacs)
starter - prawns
main - lobster
desert - strawberries and cream
finish with Irish coffee

Here's my 5 must haves for a romantic dinner. Mind you that these are more intentionally used as an aphrodisiac guaranteeing a trip to the sack. This is effective though.
1. Salad w/ alotta brocolli
2. Oysters on the shell
3. Dried figs and prunes
4. Grilled Tuna
5. The most important: Chocolate covered strawberries

These are NOT a personal favorite of mine but when you go with this combination, the endorphins are high, the mood increases, your energy is replenished and your ready for some after dinner *cough*. Prepare the food exactly this way. It's what i prescribe to some couples.

You may want to try:
Appetizer - top shell salad (top shell / lemongrass / lime / chilli)

Main Course - pan fried cod fish (bake olive oil with lemon for sauce)

Dessert - crab meat rice dumplings in rose bud soup

You will find some excellent ideas in this menu (plus the main recipe collection is fantastic!):

you could start with a mixed greens salad with candied walnuts and cranberries with a vinegrette, it's very light. the i would do fondue with lobster and shrimp and some veggies and bread. the you can switch pots and do choco fondue with strawberries. best part? you get to feed eat other and it's a long drawn out dinner, and the little tea light candle is kinda cute.

Last valentines day i prepared a romantic picnic for my boyfriend. He loved it because it was very simple and humble..i turned off the lights and lit two tiny candles on a little table.

I'm vegetarian and don't know much about seafood but I will try do some research. .

Starter:

Oysters (aphrodisiac!)

Main:

Stuffed gluf flounder
[crab meat, bay shrimp, brie cheese and lemon butter.

Desert:

Baked Alaska.

I hope that I gave you some ideas, sorry that I don't have an extensive knowledge on seafood! The most important thing about the romantic dinner is that you set the mood with lighting and music, wear clothes he loves you in..generally the food will be the last thing on your mind =)

Have a great time!
