Question: An entertaining way to raise money!?

I need to raise money for the World Challenge, which i'm going on next year!. I need to raise about ￡3000, and I wondered what kind of events I could put on to raise some of this money!. Do quiz nights or BBQs and discos etc!. bring in much money!? I want to do something that people will find fun, and is accessable for kids and older people as well - something that all the family can enjoy!.!.!.any ideas!?!?

My friends and I hosted a wine tasting to raise money for a local charity!. We asked for wine and food donations from local wine shops and grocery stores!. We charged $20 per person and selected 10-15 of the wines that were donated to taste!. The remaining bottles of wine were raffled off!. We all had a good time and it didn't take a lot of seed money from us!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We used to do the Las Vegas Nights!.!.!. people would contribute money for the cause then receive back play money depending on their contribution!.
Then they could go and gamble and with the play money
THEN
they could bid on things that were placed out for bids at the silent auction!.

If you are a charitable organization or can get your church to help this is a plus for the fun night - be sure to have Bingo going on too !.!.!. (smiles)
