30th Birthday..Should I have a party with someone or not...?
My friend and I are 2 days apart and we are both turning 30. We share that same friends also. At first we were both going to have a party together, now she wants to have a Mexican Theme party cause her funds are low and I want to do something fun and over the top. What should I do. I definitely don't want a Mexican theme party.

You can always pool your resources [that would be your gift to her] and have the party you want. Happy birthday to both of you.

Why not come up with a "Things to do before we turn 30" Party. Ask party goers beforehand to suggest things you should do that you haven't done before so you could do them at the party. Sing Karaoke country western songs. Eat unusual foods. Go rollerskating. Recite poetry aloud to a special friend. Ride an elephant.
Here's a big item list, but obviously you can't do these things. But you can see what your friends suggest.
Just explain to you friend that you guys only turn 30 once and it is a big deal and so you think that you guys should both celebrate them on diffrent days and then you guys will get to have 2 partys and they will be totally diffrent and one for each of you not one to share and I am sure she will understand! my friend and i had the same problem, she has her birthday the day after mine, and we also turned 30! i took the weekend before my b-day to have my party, and she was there with all our
other friends, and the she took the weekend just after her b-day,
and had her party with all our friends, and it worked out great!!
We each did our own thing and had our own party, and all our friends could attend both parties!
Two parties are better than one!

Have a party with your boyfriend and afterwards just go at it until you can't go any further. have fun.
