Answers:
Give yourself plenty of time to buy things in advance such as paper products or non-perishable food items such as dry soup mixes, chips, canned items that you make party food with...JUST PLAN in advance. I do event planning so I know.

Being on a low budget...is hard if you want to supply everything for a good party.....but if your friends are really good friends they won't mind sharing the load so you all can have a wonderful time and not go in debt!

So call your friends explain what you want to do and see what they have to say and how they can help you out....

Have a theme....like a Hawaiian Luau...baked chicken with a pineapple sauce...rice and coconut pies........or all American theme..with hamburgers and hotdogs...chips....... or Italian party....with beers and pizza....or Mexican ...tacos ...beans....big salad bowl... sangria or fruit punch........

A theme...is the best way to start out so discuss this with your friends...and get their help or save up for it and do it yourself...I can't think of any other solution....but I can help you with the food..! Best of luck.....if you need more help write to me at: italmama6060@yahoo.com

How low? Are you springing for everything? Pig roast.

Call the local VFW, Knights of Columbus, etc. Check your prices. They have cheap beer and drinks. Your guests will be able to afford it. If you want to buy a round, tell the venue ahead of time and negotiate a price upfront.

Call a local DJ from the newspaper and check out his selection, or create some CD's from your own library and borrow your friends. They'll love to hear their music too.

I entertained 100 people with $800.00 and didn't cook a darn thing. I had a cheap DJ and he catered to my requests and hired a man to roast a pig and serve beans and bisquits. We played horseshoes and drank beer for $1.25 a draft at the KOA.

It was a nice wedding.

In ur house, order some fastfood delivery//., pizzas.....?

Start with drinks - you provide a keg & mixers, the guests byob......As for food, have a few friends bring something easy such as finger sandwiches, chips & dip, 7-layer dip, meatballs, etc......or do a bbq with hamburgers & hotdogs, having other guests bring baked beans, potato salad, chips, paper plates, cups, etc......Plan something you know your guests will enjoy.

Here's an idea for an outside bbq party: Get a radio or boom box and bring it outside. Get cheap laterns or lights to decorate outside. A grill would be nice to have. Invite your friends over and have them brings some c.d.s and food. Then have the party. Make sure you make food too!

Make it a pot luck have people bring food and drink

You can have everyone bring a dish, and/or refreshments, make it a pot luck, just make sure you know what everyone is bringing so you don't end up with 5 potato salads. Have someone play D. J. Go to the craft or 99 cent store to buy party favors and decorations. Have fun!
