Answers:
Take the cupcake in hand. Dip upside down in bowl of fluffy whipped icing (kool whip works well too) and swirl. Cupcake is iced.
Definitely wait until they have cooled for a few hours before doing it....but I just use a butterknife.
stick your tongue in the frosting &proceed to rub the frosting onto your cupcake ;)
put a bunch right in the middle ,and worked out,always rotating the cup cake.

Well.. I've "frosted" a few "cupcakes" in my time! LOL! Quick strokes will do it!
umm regular buttercream icing and i put sum fondant over itt...
looks nice and smooth and u can flavor and color the fondant any way u want..
and make cute shapes with itt..
