Music for a cook out?!

Question:

Music for a cook out?

I am hosting a bridal shower but it's a cook out and I need some ideas of music to play in the background during the shower.

Answers:
I loved and used the "Theme" music to fun events. We did a "laid back" Carribian theme to our BBQ... I live in Texas, we can only handle so much cowboy stuff!

My guy friend and I made a custom CD of Rock songs, Love songs and High energy songs and I called it the Jimmy Buffet Party mix- LOL

We were like High tide (energy) then low tide (energy) by the end of the party, We had line dances, and other Group songs stacked 6-10 deep, so folks would wear off the "Beer" to drive home.

I had 6 "naptser" CD's Played each one, to set the "tone" for the party. Even, Life is a Highway, The long way home, and Raw hide then Happy Trails to you at the end of the last one, to close out the party.

I gave the "love" romance -couple dance "mood" music to them couple. I did ask them both to email me a list of their favorite songs...any kind.

We had everything from Elton John to Metallica, Marvin Gay to Kid Rock, Faith Hill to Ziggy Marley and Amazing Grace was playing when dinner was served. Good luck!

It was hard work up front, YET, I loved it....it was great fun and I gotta tell ya, I gave away so many copies of those CD's it was the best thing in years. Next time, I want the bride/groom to consider that a "guest favor" gift, since it did cost me, but if they had purchased the CD's, jewel cases with their picture on it, I would have burned them for free.

have fun!

My hubby actually made me a custom one of all the things he thought of me... It was so romantic...he gave me the idea of doing that. It was really wonderful for us all, and I only had to flip the CD once an hour, which was great for us all.
Cost about $20 per CD to make it, and it was worth it, and cheaper than a DJ.

just use u and ur guest fav music ty for the points!

It depends on the theme . . . like we did a hawaiian theme one and just got a CD of Hawaiian music and had that playing. I have also been to some where the radio was just on in the background. Also ask the bridesmaids to pick 2 songs that way it is something personal from all the ladies.

some calm music

"Enya" is always good for girl parties and I also have a CD called Celtic Charm that would be perfect, providing you don't want a rock and roll party!

Poll your guests for their favorites types of music and go with a genre that will appeal to the majority fo yur guests and also mix it up and play somethings that all will appreciate.
