That depends on certain factors Sir, as follows!.!.!.
The weather will be fine if lighting the BBQ in late afternoon- I would suggest four pm, as it will most likely drizzle in the evening between 1900 and 2245!.
also, the higher you are on that day the less likely rain will occur- if at Lodge Moor, at roughly 1000 feet above sea level, the chance of showers will be less likely on that day, however in locations such as Tinsley, lower in the valleys, precipitation on the 9th is much more likely!.
You could perhaps have the BBQ down here in 'sunny' Cornwall, where it has rained solidly the last 48 hours!. It will be a good weekend here though, as I am going out to outdoor music shows at Newquay Boardmasters, and have therefore ordered some sunshine!. I've also bought a ticket for the Sahara desert before the year is out, so I can lose this anaemic look!. Don't you just love it in good old Blighty!?
Have a good BBQ, and give my regards to the old hometown!. If my forecast is correct, I would be honoured to receive your ten bonus points for best answer!. I would also recommend Piri Piri chicken as one of the tastiest things to toss onto the flames, a lovely Portugese pepper sauce available in most good supermarkets today!!
