I need to find a food catering service for a baby shower?!

Question:

I need to find a food catering service for a baby shower?

Answers:
Here is your best bet to finding a great caterer. Contact a nice hotel in your area that DOES NOT have a restaurant (Hilton and Marriott hotels are a great choice....ones like Residence Inn or Homewood Suites)

Ask for the sales manager or event manager. Once you get them on the line tell them you are needing a referral for a great caterer for your event. Let them know the location and the number of people. Odds are (especially if it is a woman) that they will be able to give you some names to run with!!

I used to work in the hotel industry (operations manager) and the sales managers always have the best info for things like this!!

Hope this helped!!

Any good grocery store (in Ontario) does sandwich platters, fruit platters, and veggies with dip.

I'm throwing a baby shower in a few weeks, and am ordering in Chinese food. Cheap, and they deliver.

What city? or location?
It's hard to help without knowing where.
I cater on the side....have been for 16 years....but I'm in Fayetteville, NC.

If you are having a baby shower, you can keep the foods simple and easy to prepare yourself, or pick up. If you live close to a Costco or Sam's or other warehouse food distributer, you can have them make some platters up for you or pick up the ready made ones yourself. They also make great, and delicious, sheet cakes, decorated to order, for your special occasion. If you want to do the food yourself, here are some ideas:

1. Deviled eggs
2. Vege platter with ranch dressing
3. Condiment platter with a variety of olives, pickles and peppers.
4. Meat and cheese platters with sliced artisan breads
5. Mayo, mustard, and dressing bowls
6. Fruit salad, or fresh fruit platter with bowls of sour cream and brown sugar for dipping.
or
7. Green salad with dressings
8. Make ahead pasta salad
9. Baked ham for carving
10. Spaghetti or lasagne
11. Grilled chicken, sausages, and london broil

Keep it simle and have fun!
