I used to hear about dinner parties all the time when I was younger, but haven't heard people talking about them for ages. I'm thinking of having one and wanted to know if it was considered uncool.

It is a super cool way to have a great night with as many friends as you have chairs! You can bring out the "good stuff" or keep it casual. You pick who comes. you pick the theme, the menu, the background music.
You are in total control!!!!! Everyone is relaxed!!
Other than the holidays, it's the one time I open up my china
cabinet and use all the good stuff my Grandma gave me. All the china etc. It is a blast and a way to honor my friends by making it special.
Go for it!!!! There are tons of themes you can go for too! Sky's the limit! Wine tasting is fun too! Go for it!!

I love dinner parties! They are what bring (families, friends, colleagues, whomever) together. I'm young & I don't consider them old fashioned! It does seem as though not many people have them anymore.

We have dinner parties and I love to attend them. I am always touched by the effort that people put into them - it makes you feel special and connected.

I prefer it to dining at restaurants.

Dinner parties are great! Only problem is ours always seem to run waaay too late and we end up eating two hours later than planned! Just make sure you have plenty of drinks around to stop the others thinking about their rumbling tummies ;-) you can relax heaps more at a dinner party at home, the only downside is the clean up....

Dinner parties are fantastic. Try a fondue. Have a couple of pots and lots of different food to try. It was a hit for me. Everyone just sits and talks all night around the table. And it's something different, so it is entertaining.

I dont think it be "UNCOOL", but Times have changed a lot, you're right about that. People dont Dress up anymore for such Occasions like they used too........otherwise just go ahead and invite your "COOLEST FRIENDS" anyway !!!!
