Big life events, like the birth of a child, bring out family traditions, for good or for bad!. Niether GM2B care if their foods go together!. Chicken Salad is pretty traditional for a shower in the US, and I'm guessing Lumpia (Filipino Egg Rolls) are traditional there, too!. So dont' sweat it, just fill in the gaps!. Your entrees are covered, as is an appetizer!.

Have a nice big bowl of punch, some salted nuts and buttery dinner mints, and maybe a sheet cake!. (To me, THAT is traditional shower food! I love a bite of sweet cake chased w/ a salty nut or two and a swig of punch!) You might also offer a fruit tray, a veggie tray, and maybe some scones w/ butter and jam or petite muffins of some sort!. But your veggie tray doesn't ahve to be boring: stuff snow peas w/ herbed soft or cream cheese, then dip open side of them in crushed nuts!. Or, instead of fruit piled on a tray, make cream-cheese stuffed strawberries or a plate of cantaloupe w/ a pile of shaved proscuitto to wrap around the canta!. slices!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

just act like you meant to fix diverse foods!.have some american food too like mini cheeseburgers or something!.and brownies for dessert or something like that:)Www@FoodAQ@Com

offer a pasta dish for a meat-free alternative!.!.!.salad and appetizer/fruit platter!.!.!.good desserts fix a lot!Www@FoodAQ@Com
