30th Birthday Ideas anyone?!

Question:

30th Birthday Ideas anyone?

My 30th falls in December this year but as this is the Xmas Office Party time and everyone is skint it needs to be booked 6 months in advance (this summer). Does anyone have any idea what i can do for it?
I would like to invite family and friends so it needs to be good fun for all ages. All ideas are very much appreciated. Thanks.

Answers:
Hire a hall and have a good old fashioned fancy dress party!!!

Everyone loves a barbeque!

look at www.goape.co.uk

Poker night (everyone brings the ingredients for a cocktail). With the combinations of cocktails that can be made it can be quite a boozy night. Make it fancy dress. Everyone has to come dressed as something to do with money - JR Ewing, bank manager, Posh & Becks etc.

Take a look at www.thisisthelife.com for some inspiration.

Happy Birthday whatever you do.

country and western themed.. or dress ups lots of fun

new tires to start that decent down hill.

Make up a little casino, dance auditions.

I am lazy so I would say do something that causes you little work, go to a pizza parlor, let them do the cooking and cleaning...lol
do an italian night, spaghetti, lasagna, pizza. but have it catered

Do something you have never done before, so you will always remember it.

I went to a rave on my thirtieth, it was certainly different and i met some real cool people.

Try Paint-balling, Clay pigeon shooting, Whitewater Rafting, Carting if its a family thing.

Enjoy & Happy Birthday

A good old fashion bar bq in the back yard and play some cornhole u will have fun and the kids will love it HAPPY B-DAY

**** your boyfriend

If you consider how much you'll spend for the part just skip it (the party) party and give yourself an adult vacation. Leave the backpack behind, get a real suit case and fly to fun place.
Again - consider how much you'll spend for a part and use that money for a jamming vacation to celebrate your 30th. HAPPY B-day!

have sex with 30 different people in 30 days
from 30 different countries in 30 different positions
and wearing 30 different outfits and do it in 30 different places

friends and family don't count
they are just looking for a free meal

a "You" themed party could be fun...everyone has to come as a different year from the last 30 years..dressed in 1981 attire, 1987 attire, 1994 attire, etc...that way it's a fun dress up event, everyone can participate and then you can do fun games and drinks that have been popular for the last 30 years...if your place isn't big enough for the entire group...rent a hall!

A nice dress up party with dancing, music, and good food would be awesome for all ages!

Might I suggest a medieval feast?
Print up the invitations yourself using old English calligraphy font. Seal it with a wax seal, which can be bought at most good stationers at a reasonable price.
Guests must dress up in medieval costumes.
Have someone play the harp while people are eating, or just play cd's of medieval music.
Have dancing follow the feast. Wine flowing, pig on the spit, good music the right atmosphere with great fun costumes. You will have a great night, and one that your guests will remember. I had a medieval feast for my engagement and it was a total blast! Unforgettable, over 12 years ago and people still mention it!!
An idea to think about anyway. Plenty of sites on the net, we used a castle, and though you might not be able to find one of those, there are many places that specialize in the medieval type feasting and entertainment.
All the best with all your planning!

simple & elegant..restaurant....
spa party....
nightclub...
posh hotel...
happy birthday!

For my fortieth in January i am having a Stars in your eyes party , everyone needs to come as a famous performer and then if they want to sing they have to sing in the style of whoever they have come as !

What about hiring a limo and going for a slap up meal with family? Meet friends there. depends on your budget though

Book a 10 pin bowling party - give plenty of notice - negotiate a price for a couple of games and a buffet supper. I've seen various parties including all ages from toddlers to oap's, all having a whale of a time. No skill or equipment is required and there are facilities for the disabled to play too.

You can book a DJ at most bowling alleys, if you choose, and there is always a bar on site. it is indoors and warm and there is usually plenty of parking spaces. Bowling is great fun, even for the non-sporting types, you don't need to dress elaborately and you can relax and laugh at each other guttering the balls.

Have a happy birthday

A beach or luau theme appeals to all ages and would give a welcome change to the winter blues. Decorations can be found just about anywhere and with it being off season it will give you a chance to catch a lot of stuff on clearance! Dollar trees have a lot of beach/ luau stuff. Oriental Trading Company is another great source. Another idea would be an At the Movies theme and everyone could dress like their favorite movie or character. You would be surprised at what the members of the "older " set can come up with. Food Network and Better Homes and Gardens sites have great recipes and party ideas.
